Ordered the rib platter with yams & mac with a side of cornbread. I should’ve known not to order there when it was empty on a Friday evening. Ribs were so fatty I found myself spitting them out with each bite. Mac was bland and dry. Found mold in my cornbread. The yams were the only good part. Needless to say, I didn’t finish it. Horrible, Horrible Experience. I was given whatever sides they chose even though it says the platter comes with two sides. When ordering online it doesn’t even give you an option to choose the sides that come with the order. They make you pay extra for extra sides and then choose your free sides for you. When I called and spoke with Lena, she says that this is the only way DoorDash allows her to do it but I informed her that I order all of the time and that is not the only way to set up the ordering on the site. She further stated that she has heard of this problem before and hasn’t even gone on door dash her self to see what the problem is. She further tells me I should have gone into the special instructions to add my side orders which it DOES NOT say to do on the app. I ordered a Turkey wings platter and got one turkey wing and nasty rice and gravy with good string beans and I ordered fried fish. One piece of whiting was cut in half to make it seem like two pieces and the nasty rice and gravy and sweet potatoes were on that platter. Never chose any of the names side. I was forced to order Mac and cheese and green beans on the side. The Mac was nasty and not seasoned and the greens were good. I also ordered the chicken dumplings. They were good. The rest was a waste of my $41. Order at your own risk. I am single mother who works and attends school and sometimes do not feel like cooking. I don’t have time to waste my money. That’s what I did tonight.

After tasting the fried fish with Mac n cheese and potatoes salad picking up my phone to take a picture was not a valid option. Me and My friend didn’t utter many words sitting our meal other than mmm omg mmm it’s so good Dam . my friend was happy with his backed chicken steering Beans dinner great service and friendly . I had a warm inviting feeling inside this establishment. They could use some repairs but it was clean. Including the bathroom.

First and last time ordering.Friendly and professional service amd clean inside. But the food was lacking. It looked institutional. Saucy Mac and cheese, small beef ribs, but tender and greens just ok. I don’t remember ever getting a rib platter and not having enough to eat later. I was disappointed.

I met Ms Lena for the first time this evening. I had the fish, Mac and cheese, collards and candied yams. ALL the items were tasty and NOT overly seasoned. I will definitely be back for more soul food. I don’t have a pic to show because the food is in my stomach .
