Leroy’s Place (formerly Roby’s Grill) delivers standard burger-and-fries food, reliably and well. The default setting for toppings (lettuce, tomatoes, etc.) here is under the patty. I recommend getting the burger “with,” that is, with fried onions and pickle. Besides the burgers, Leroys also offers breakfast and dinners. But without doubt, the burgers are currently the standard fare that brings in most customers — grilled up in plain sight right behind the counter. Good service and good burgers (and more), and Coca-Cola with plenty of ice, all at reasonable prices — what’s not to like?

My Grandparents used to date here back in the 20’s. It’s been a Hamburger joint for about 100 years now. It’s a legendary place for my family. We LOVE those cheeseburgers with grilled onions. It’s been named at least a dozen different things over the years. My family has always called it “Williams Hambugers”.

If you like small town family owned restaurants and grilled food, Leroy’s Place is an excellent choice. I had the bacon double cheeseburger and it was one of the best burgers I have ever ate. My eyes were bigger than my stomach as a single would have easily filled me up. Their burgers are bigger than the bun and well worth the price. The employees were very friendly and I am looking forward to trying the breaded tenderloin on my next visit. If you’re planning to visit Elwood and love hamburgers , Leroy’s is the place!

My wife and I ventured down to Elwood to try Leroy’s after reading the reviews. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. I had a patty melt and my wife had a cheeseburger. They were very, very good and the grilled onions were awesome. I would have given them 5 stars except that the fries were a disappointment as they were crinkle cuts, the worst kind of fries IMO. If they would go to some partial skin on fries they would rate 5+ stars. We would go back, but find another side to got with a great burger.

This place is an awesome place to go been around for a long time do you like Onion Burgers or anything like that for that matter like that go to the Rose Place you cooked hamburgers right there on the grill in front of you and everything’s they are just awesome but they also have other food there too that’s really great as well so if the member ID of things there so check it out. Me and my mom went out for lunch which we haven’t done in a long time and we decided to go here. the waitress happened to be my old softball coach, who we were able to catch up with and reminisce about the old days the food was really really good although the mashed potatoes were a little on the thick side, they weren’t bad though. you can choose to either sit and the room that also has a regular eating bar in it or you can sit in the other room that is just tables and booths, Just wherever you’re comfortable. the place is hardly ever really packed so it’s quite comfortable to eat there too.
