Not sure where the good reviews came from but here is my experience. First time trying the place so I said let me give it a try. I love trying different restaurants. For starters, my wings still had feathers on them, the mac & cheese & chicken was very salty, the collar greens were sweet and bitter. They actually put tomatoes and raw onions on your greens. Not a fan.

This was my first time and I am impressed by the food! There was only one guy running the joint handing out orders (its drive-thru only). Wait was not too long but clearly this isnt fast food, everything is cooked to perfection I got the Fried Chicken Lewis Special with green beans and mac & cheese, then ordered a veggie plate with cabbage, collards & yams. I only spent $23 and you’ll be charged an additional $2 for using a card. The fried chicken was bomb, I enjoyed some with and without hot sauce. This is real soul food, I believe the tomatoes, onion, and jalapeños are served as a garnish/topping & thats new to me but I did enjoy trying a piece with a few bites. I will definitely be back. Its a small lil joint on the corner and drive thru only! Closes from 3-4 for clean up so plan your drive accordingly. I am excited to try some desserts next time.

“If you know you know” I always drove passed this placed and wondered and boy did I get my answer today… Everything was to the T, no dissatisfaction only satisfactions. From service to prices.. no complaints, all of the good things I can’t wait to revisit again!

Everything was seasoned well (fried chicken, turkey wings, rice and gravy, dressing, candied yams and especially the collard greens were top-tier delicious)! You can tell that the chef knows how to season food beyond using salt. It’s a small drive-through spot in a shopping plaza. Don’t let the appearance fool you! Best soul food I’ve had since moving to Atlanta 15 years ago. My 83-year-old mom was impressed. We’ll back soon, Lewis! A±++

The food was delicious and prices are affordable. Just know there a wait for the drive thru, but it’s worth it. I’ll be back soon.

Food was really good. My spouse had the bbq chicken and I had the fried pork chops. The mac and cheese was the BOMB! Collards and cabbage was awesome as well! Will definitely revisit.

The food and service deserve more than the 5 stars allowable. The fried chicken almost made me shed tears of joy because it was seasoned and cooked to perfection i.e. crispy, salty, moist, and well done. Combo that with spicy greens & mac n cheese someone put their foot in and some peach cobbler for dessert and I left a happy man. BeCause this was my first visit, I also tried the tilapia with fries, the fried pork chops with more greens and candied yams. It all went down.

Great Southern Cooking. Lewis’s is my number 1 go to restaurant (Drive Thru) on the Southside of Town. Baked Chicken, Turkey Wings, Collard Green, Green Beans, Hamburgers, Fried Fish, etc.. is all good. If you’ve never been to Lewis’s you’re missing out.

Food is awesome. The owner is very nice. To say that he runs his restaurant alone, his food and overall establishment is over and beyond so many other places that I have visit. I love cooking for others and never eat myself. So it was good to find someone that cooks the food I love. Oh, the peach cobbler,I can’t even describe. Reminds me of my grandmother cobbler. It will be my number 1 dessert when I visit this restaurant.

Portion size is good for the price. Barbecue chicken was tender, unsure of if candied yams and mac and cheese were homemade… or boxed and doctored. Greens and cornbread was great. Take cash because you will be charged if you use your card.
