I had high hopes for this place, but ultimately was a little bit disappointed. Pork ribs are pretty pricey but the flavor wasn’t quite there. The mac and cheese was decent, but the candied yams weren’t very candied. The chicken was a little bit dry, but the okra and collard greens were good. Don’t think we’ll be back .

I ordered the catfish platter with butterfly shrimp from Uber eats. It was fried perfectly, still hot and they even put a security sticker on the bag to prevent tampering. I love that idea and no other place I ordered from has done that. It was also tied so well I had to cut it open. My sides were in separate containers, so no spillage. I really liked the food and appreciate the extra care they took in packaging it. I will definitely order again. Great job!

While visiting the east coast from the south I ran across this gem!! I ordered the catfish along with a plethora of sides. I don’t eat potato salad from everyone but theirs was a SMASH hit for sure. Attached is what’s leftover from a day ago now enjoying on my lunch break back in Texas. So yummy thanks again for the amazing hospitality, highly recommended for your soul food cravings.

This place hasn’t disappointed me yet! Customer service was pleasant. Location was clean. I ordered the 4 fried chicken wings with mac & cheese and potato salad. It came with cornbread on the side. The wings were a very nice size & very crispy. The sides were seasoned & cooked to perfection & the cornbread was so soft & literally as thick as a piece of cake lol I come here whenever I crave soul food & I always walk away happy. Definitely give them a try.

First I must say the prices for their meals are great! The food is delicious! I live in PA but I order food for my Dad every Sunday for the week. I purchase at least five – six meals every Sunday. All my dad has to do is call when he gets there and they bring the food out to his car. Talking about customer service, it can’t get any better than that. I love this place and the people treats him like family.

I ordered two pieces of Whiting Fish, which actually was one Fish cut in half. It was tasteless the only thing I had a hint of was OBay seasoning which I’m not partial to and it definitely wasn’t crispy. It was Flat, Dry, and I waited 10 minutes, was the only person in the store on June 17th @ around 12:10 p.m. in the afternoon. Paid $7.50, guy who waited on me was very courteous, that’s the positive here!!

The catfish was solid…customer service was not becuse i ordered whitting. I politely ordered whiting and said my name twice when asked…after sitting there for 30 minutes they called me Brian and thought I ordered catfish. They gave no apology just sassy energy. Need a little more maturity at the cash registers…not professional. I would love to come back more when we travel here each month if that changed but I’ll keep looking. 🙁

I was told that I needed to review L&G Soul Food and their catfish, I was reluctant because I’d been to several places that were recommended, like Jessop’s Tavern in Old New Castle, because they boast themselves as having the “best catfish in Delaware”, and that was a total train wreck.

Ordered the Catfish and Turkey wings and the fish was cooked nicely and flavored nicely but the Turkey wings were tough and undercooked with little flavor, the red beans and rice were bland with no flavor, the mac and cheese was bland with no flavor and the greens were not good at all, doused with vinegar. I’ve given this place several tries and it’s always a disappointment.
