Visited for dinner a Friday evening in late August. Had a very good meal here overall. Sat outside, in the garden area, which seemed much nicer compared to the outdoor seating on the street. Quite an eclectic and colourful menu. We tried a bunch of dishes and enjoyed them quite a bit. I was a little bummed to see a local beer from Suarez costs nearly $13 for a can but perhaps that’s just how it is these days. Service was efficient, workmanlike. It’s quite a popular venue so booking ahead seems necessary. We enjoyed our visit and would return.

Cast out of the garden of Eden..,again. (Reference to their web site) Born in Jersey lived in NYC , moved to The Hudson Valley 20 years ago so have seen multiple waves moving here like myself and we all know especially since Covid that restaurants and other businesses increased prices so that only an affluent privileged few can afford them. Generally not the locals. By everything I read on the Lil Debs web site this would not be the case here. A return to the bliss of “the garden of Eden” awaits. I made a reservation for four for a special reunion with friends from Cali that I had not seen in 10 years! We were going to community theatre but first a lovely dinner to catch up. I made reservations but no confirmation so I called. Had a nice conversation about options of dining in or out and times. They opened at 5 and we would be there. We are on time and ordered drinks $15 a pop or $55 for a 1/2 pitcher. We were enjoying our drinks and conversation and had not looked on our phones at food (only option) when the waitress abruptly told us we “have a 90 minute turn over and it is stated on the website and when reservations are made. “ Where on that welcoming web site does it say that? Or on the reservation form? Or when I spoke to them on the phone? So now we were rushed but ready for when she returned. We orders four plates. She insisted we order more “It’s Tapas and that will not be enough” I know tapas I know us but she suggested other plates and stood there until we ordered two more. They were tasty but $15-20 per small plate? We were full before the last two came. Multiple servers asked if we’re done before we were so finally got the check. “ A Cost of living up charge” $230 for four people before tip? For tapas? We were the ones who needed a cost of living discount! I get that times are hard but it’s that way for all of us. We will not return. The Hudson Valley has many truly delicious equitable communal options like Tildas in Kingston. That’s where we will be.

We had a most delicious meal here. Fried fish on watercress and basil, delicious greens in lime sauce and coconut rice. Plantains, amazing!

Food was great, only thing I wouldn’t get again is the chicken since it took a really long time and wasn’t particularly flavorful, especially compared to the other dishes. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive. Great for a date, fun night with friends, etc.

Been hearing about Lil Deb’s Oasis and was very excited to try out. Did not disappoint, love the atmosphere, people and concept. Menu is constantly changing, like daily and according to season as well. Just great.

Food was good at times, extremely overly complex at others. Cucumbers were amazing, tostada was pretty good, dosa with its spicy radishes was bizarre- the peppers on so many dishes were weirdly hot for being so common. It felt like I didn’t know what I was eating. Nasturtium ice cream was not enjoyable. Love the staff, the decor, the whole vibe. But very expensive for a confusing meal. We had fewer plates than recommended to us and our wallets thanked us. Fried fish was amazing (and the most substantial thing we ate)

Some of the best food we’ve had this year! The food was familiar yet different with a new interpretation of dishes I already enjoyed. Particularly enjoyed the ceviche and dosa, as well as the excellent wine list!

I am so fortunate to live in the center of it all. lil Deb’s Oasis is truly that, an oasis. The atmosphere inside is amazing, fun, vibrant and full of life. The outdoor backyard seating is gorgeous in the spring and summer. Service is ALWAYS great. I have never eaten anything I did not like. The food is amazing, unique, and food sharing is encouraged. If you are not into the loud music, dark lit restaurant type vibe, than maybe this isn’t the place for you. But I love them!!
