Service was excellent as I was promptly greeted upon entry. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was absolutely fantastic. Since this was my first visit it wasn’t about a protein, starch and vegetable balance…it was all about the faves and if they meet my tastebud expectations. I must say my tastebuds were enlightened! I had meatloaf, mac & cheese and fried okra. I loved it all and will most definitely return for different items on the menu.

Very clean, looks new.inside. By far the best country cooking around! Friendly and courteous staff. Menu is somewhat limited but it is good! Collard greens and pintos cooked and seasoned to perfection.

My boyfriend and I went and it was well worth it!! The waitresses and staffing were all great. It was a very friendly environment. The food was really good. My boyfriend had collards and he told me to try them because they were so good! I tried them and I wanted to eat all of them!! Everything went well for us on our experience today and we will definitely be back!! I love a good home cooked meal and this was perfect today because I didn’t feel like cooking! The food reminded me of my grandmother’s cooking!!

Meatloaf, collards and candied yams were very good. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was downgraded because we were seated beside loud talkers who kept looking at us to see if we were reacting to their conversation. Not the restaurants fault but there were no other diners and we could have been seated away. My fault – I could have asked to be moved but we had already received our drinks. We’ll return. The food is great!

My first visit. The food was Outstanding, but the server was seriously lacking in customer skills. (It was after 2pm and there were only 3 tables of customers during our visit.) She was rude and impatient taking our orders as well as the table next to us. If we asked for refills or more ice we were responded to like it was a huge imposition.

Great food and great people working there. My parents are regulars there, and they turned my husband and me onto them. My dad made an order, and we picked it up for them. They knew my dad right away and asked how he and my mom were, even their little dog. Now that is service.

First visit, I can’t say enough good things about this place! Food was prepared well, all the staff were friendly and attentive. I had the baked chicken breast, collard greens, and yams. My friend had fried chicken, potato salad, and hush puppies. Chicken was moist and tender, yams weren’t overly sweet ,if there is any negative it would be the collard greens were more stem, than leaf, but were still good! Excellent hush puppies and potato salad. Don’t miss a chance to visit this hidden gem!

The service and atmosphere was really nice and friendly. The food was good but not enough to impress me to go back. I had a small amount of rice and less gravy. Gravy was enough to mix with rice. Small piece of fried cornbread and cold. I thought I was getting a piece of bake cornbread. Place appearance is very clean. The owner is very nice. I had chicken livers, rice, collard greens and cornbread.

Plates at other tables (including mine) left table empty. Everything was delicious not a huge menu, which was good to see for a change. Meatloaf was awesome. Will be back and tell others. They gonna make it!!
