Called in my order a little before 7 and when I got there it was still being cooked and the gentleman behind the counter asked me if this was my first time there and was telling me I was about to go in on this burger. Which I absolutely did this burger had thick cut bacon on to of a big square of melted cheese with a patty thicker then your baby momma and a side of extra crispy fries. Would definitely come back

Delicious! Comfort food for sure! I enjoyed my burger and it put me straight to sleep. Worth it for sure, I enjoyed the service and food and will be back to try more. I got the burger with shrimp and it was more than enough food, you won’t be hungry. Guaranteed!

I picked up a cheese burger n sweet potato fries, n fried chicken to go. The sweet tea was so good y’all. Super fantastic service here too. They treat you like family here. You get what you give. I’ll come back for more items on the menu, like fried cabbage and ox tails. Treat yourself to a great meal.

I’ve been eating here for years and the food is always fresh and well prepared. My boys love the burgers. I love the fish and chicken omg the kool aid is so good!!! He likes to have fun and talk smack with a smile but has a huge heart. One of the best soulfood/ American grills in the Austin area.

The man who answered the phone was very rude. I had a couple questions and wished to order from them but was hung up on. Extremely disgusted that I even thought I wanted try this place. If you dont want to provide great/decent customer service go find something else to do.

The cook or the man who was taking the order was very unprofessional, quite ghetto, and needs to rethink his attitude. Came in with a family member and he didn’t address neither one of us. Simply picked up the phone and took another order. While on the phone he was still rude with the customer. And his tone was absolutely disgusting and disgraceful. Stared at us like we were bothering him for wanting to bring him business. When we were about to order my family member said they wanted “ chicken fried chicken” and he rudely responded with “so you want grilled chicken?” She said no I said chicken fried chicken. He then huffed loudly and said and a higher tone “ you mean grilled”. After seeing his nasty attitude we politely walked out. But before walking out he mumbled something under his breath but I guess he knew better not to say it any louder. Long story short don’t bother going to this establishment if you’re looking for good customer service and a place that appreciates business. Experiencing his nasty attitude made me lose my appetite. Please get some etiquette classes and proper customer service skills before putting out a business!

Fred was an absolute delight and the food was out of this world. The place has such a beautiful and rich history that you feel from the moment you walk through the door. Fred immediately treats you like family, even pulling your leg from time to time but his kind demeanor shines through. 10/10 experience will sure to be back.
