Definitely the smells from the sidewalk were a big plus! I arrived to a fairly busy dining area. I was quickly greeted but felt that a party of 1 was an inconvenience to the server for taking up a full table. I was a bit surprised that there were only a handful of pizookie choose from and there was no substitutions of toppings. The crust was crispy, but lacked any substance beyond the outer layer — it was over proofed. The middle was soggy. I did find the flavor of the sauce was above average, though it could have been the added olive oil and oregano after cooking. All in all I felt the food was okay and the restaurant was trying to hard to be something it wasn’t. I probably won’t return as nothing else on the menu seemed interesting.

I’m sitting outside waiting for a pizza I ordered over an hour ago. I’m told I have another 20 minutes to go. It’s 90 degrees out here but thankfully the sun has just now set behind the buildings to my back as I write this. I know the pizza is good but shoot… at least offer me some water.

First time here. Big fan of Neapolitan pizza so I was excited to try it. The inside restaurant space is small and if you have a party of two you will likely be crammed in tight on either side of the restaurant up front with people constantly coming in and out and standing next to you waiting for their orders. Not necessarily bad, but if you want privacy you don’t get it here. Service was good, no complaints there. Our cocktails were tasty but $$$, but that seems to be the MO everywhere. Our appetizer (goat cheese croquettes) was ok at best. Only two croquettes and four slices of dry toast with barely any sauce? Finally for the pizza and hence the mid-ranking review. It literally took us a full hour after ordering to get our pizza. They had a busy night of take out and prioritized that over us. Pretty slow considering these pizzas only take 1-2 minutes to cook. The pizza was good, not the best Neapolitan pizza I’ve had but still good. The red sauce was a bit too sweet and applied to thick in my pepperoni. The NOLA was our favorite and I would order again. Didn’t have time for desert as we were there for 1.5 hours and had to get back. Will again, maybe just had a random bad experience.

Best pizza [margarita] in Lawrence, KS imo. 5 stars to the margarita pizza that comes out of wood fired oven. The sauce was great before but it changed now to a more hot taste, it’s good. PLEASE keep the recipe consistent! Price is a tad high.

Ask to sit in the back, it’s quieter and very nice. We had the Love Supreme pizza which was very good. For the appetizer we tried and savored the Goat Cheese Chroquettes, sorry no picture we enjoyed them to much before taking a picture. Definitely going to be back to try other menu items. Ginger ale is very good too.

Not a place for a good old-fashioned pizza. The service was really good. The pizza was not what we were looking for. The pizza menu is more of a “foodie” menu. If you like different things, this is a great place to go. If you’re looking for your typical pizza menu, this probably won’t meet your needs.

It’s ok. They make so much in house from sauces to soda to I don’t even know what else. It’s a very respectable target that they just kinda miss. It’s good. Don’t get me wrong. It’s just aggressively mediocre execution wrapped in lofty ambition. Fantastic service. Best pizza crust in town.

Best Neapolitan pizza in Lawrence! They make delicious margarita pizza with basil oil. The service is fast and friendly. I wouldn’t say I like the non-tomato sauce pizzas, but people love them too. The only problem is that they started to charge for extra basil oil ($3), which is too expensive. Other than that a good pizza place.
