Overall food was okay here, not bad but didn’t wow me. The ambiance is nice and there’s a fancy vibe to it—also if you’re lucky you can get a table overlooking the water, if not, at least a partial view of the ocean. Service was fine. For the pasta dishes, tried the Linguini Alle Vongole (clam in white wine) and Bucatini Al Funghi (speck)—both reasonable portions but it seemed to lack flavor, as if the pasta didn’t soak up any of the sauce. Also tried the Seared Halibut—was not a fan of how the fish was seasoned or tasted, but the chickpeas were good.

I went there for restaurant week. We ordered branzino and (medium well) 12oz rib eye pizzaiola. The branzino was too fishy so i asked for the lemon. The ribeye came out well done so i asked the server to cook again but it came out almost same. It was so chewy and couldn’t eat at all. I was so disappointed the food overall. I would not recommend this restaurant

Wonderful dinner experience with a view. The service is impeccable, great espresso martini and wine list. All food was delicious, steak was over cooked and our waiter Louis quickly took care to correct. Chicken and veal parmesanand pasta were excellent.

Beautiful location at Ocean Casino that overlooks the boardwalk and the ocean through large two story windows. Great view of the fireworks on the boardwalk. All the seafood was delicious. The cocktails were great too. Service was pretty good but they kept forgetting a few of our drink orders.

Dolce Mare is great. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. They start every meal with some cheesy bread and butter spread. The bread has that slightly undercooked feel to it (in a good way, not actually undercooked). Very pliable and soft. I got the chicken parm. The dish was huge. The pasta is homemade and the parm was perfectly cooked. Bring your appetite because you can easily make two meals out of it. It was crispy, cheesy, and you could tell the pasta was fresh and homemade. Would definitely come back
