I was in Alvarado for a couple of weeks and ate here several times. I found their entrees to be pretty good but didn’t like their lo mein. The only appetizer I had was egg rolls and they were okay. Food was prepared quickly and was reasonably priced. The young lady at the counter was very friendly, the guys, not so much. Will go back a few more times before I leave. Thank you.

It must be the only buffet in town for it to be the best in Alvarado. Staff is very courteous. Atmosphere is reminiscent of a private home with kids running around. Service is self-serve. You collect your own utensils, condiments, and fortune cookies for take-out. The food lacked flavor as did the sauces. Had Orange Chicken with fried rice and Chicken Lo Mein. It was bland. Like they didn’t add any salt.

This place is geared more to take-out, food was ok, service was minimal, food served in to-go boxes…had to get our own drinks ear with plastic fork. Fried rice was not very good combo came with egg fried rice never saw first sign of any egg, about half of the rice was not toasty color.

Ordered the lunch deals, Sesame Chicken and Happy Family. Both dishes were good. Egg roll did not have much flavor but were crispy. I would come back next time I am on this road.

I have eaten here twice and it is nothing special. They are stingy with the meats; you get mostly rice and veggies and you need a micro scope to see the egg rolls.. Ill stop at Panda rather than paying for expensive rice.

the orange chicken did not taste very good and there was a black hair in my egg drop soup. I don’t have black hair

Food is good, typical Chinese takeout. I believe you could dine in, we only ever get takeout, never seen anyone sitting at tables. Their combo platters are good, they come with rice or noodles and eggroll, its a lot of food for $9.50 Staff is polite

My boyfriend and i were traveling and we found this place right off the highway, it was super cheap and it satisfied my craving for Chinese. It wasn’t bad.. but I have had better. The general taos chicken was a bit dry and hard but the rice and lo mein were real good.

Mom liked food i did not. Service was horrible. No plates gave us to go boxs to eat out of. No drinks and no refills when we finally gave up on getting drinks because of no server and grabbed a soda from the fridge. No bill was presented. Host/ server was no help whatsoever.

Excellent!! Stopped for a rest break at the truck stop. Glad I did! Some really good Chinese food!! Hot and fresh! Definitely will plan accordingly to stop if I’m in the area on future trips!! Sweet n sour chicken, hot pepper chicken, fried rice, egg roll. All good!
