Banana pudding was really good. Still not sure if the little cup is worth 8$. Mac n cheese was super greasy and and only a greasy flavor. Collard greens tasted funny. 2 pieces of chicken a little Mac and collard greens is not worth 16$. I will not be going back. Does not look or taste like true soul food.

Incredible home cooked meal. We got the spicy fried chicken with collard greens, mac n cheese, candied yams, and sweet corn – plus banana pudding for dessert. Everything was delicious! My boyfriend said the yams were the best he’d ever had. If you’re looking for a wonderful home style meal, this is it (and thank you Cynthea for getting our food together right before y’all closed!).

Very nice spot, will be returning. Well priced, especially for the quality of the food. The fried catfish was beautifully seasoned and tender enough to melt in your mouth, and I literally had to put the fork down to appreciate the first bites of the mac and cheese and collard greens. Be warned if you’re looking at the online menu: Toast marks up most of the items by ~$5 compared to the in-store price.

The food is excellent. It was expertly cooked and seasoned. The chicken was juicy, tender, and flavorful. I also got the collard greens, and they were out of this world. Do yourself a favor, and eat here. So, so good!

The scallops were very buttery on the best way possible and the shrimp was super high quality! The shrimp fry batter was a tad too salty for my taste and the chicken was a lil over cooked. The collard greens were amazing and the service was the best!
