IT’S ALWAYS SUMTHIN
If you’re in search for some GOOD soul food, this is you’re place to go! Look no more. I never had oxtails before and fell in love. So tender it falls right off the bone and seasoned to perfection! The price is high though unfortunately. I also got greens, Mac n cheese n black eyed peas and absolutely nothing was dissatisfying, it was ALL on point! Highly suggest this place!!!

One of the best soul food spots in Dallas. I’ve been going here for years. I usually always get the oxtails and over the years, the price has gone up which is to be expected but they’re well worth it. Their food has so much flavor and you can’t go wrong with whatever you get. The only thing that I can say is just ok is their cakes. Their banana pudding is delicious and so is their koolaid. Seriously, go here and you won’t be disappointed.

I had the fried chicken, Mac n cheese, green beans and Peach Cobbler. Mac and cheese wasn’t all that. 3/10. Peach Cobbler was not good AT ALL 0/10. The only thing that was decent was the fried chicken 5/10. Very disappointed. Haven’t found a good soul food spot yet.

Got oxtail plate. Oxtails were delicious but vegetables taste like right from the can. Had to wait on Cornbread & cashier wasn’t the friendliest!

They were 20 minutes late opening the door then the food wasn’t ready so I had to wait another 20 minutes and then another 10 minutes for cold corn bread. The peach cobbler had no sugar in it! Ppl referred me and I didn’t like it at all. I gave it 2 stars because it’s black owned otherwise I would have gave 1. Our ppl have to do better!

This place brought back some great memories of living in the south. The staff is so sweet and polite. The food is heart and tummy warming. My favorite was the pork chop. Juicy and full of flavor. Don’t skip the mac n cheese! You’ll be so sorry. I’m definitely going to come back to try the chicken next time.

They were supposed to open at 11, but left myself and 3 other customers outside in the heat until approximately 11:05. When one of the staff members finally opened the door, she did it with an attitude and didn’t even hold the door open for us, just unlocked it. They were talking amongst themselves and still trying to get food on the line so we actually stood around waiting another 10 mins before they even took our orders. Chicken fried steak (the reason I came) was not ready for another 10-15 minutes. It was also hot inside, so after waiting and sweating about another 15 mins, the credit card machine/internet was down so I had to leave my food because I didn’t have cash. Luckily, a Good Samaritan in line said he refused to let me deny his blessings so he paid for my food. I got the beef tips and rice since what I actually wanted still wasn’t on the line. It was okay, but as a first time customer, SERVICE, and the atmosphere was not welcoming, and the food isn’t great enough to make me ever come back again . They say we don’t support our communities but with service like this, why should we?
