I am surprised at the low reviews here. I tried 2 of the different types of paella and I thought they were great. Yes a bit expensive but I thought it was nice. They were already made so they just served them in a bowl. I am not experienced at what traditional paella tastes like but the options here was great. I am a big fan of Cajun food and one of the options reminded me of it with bits of smoked sausage and maybe pork? That darker one was definitely spicy though, not too bad but if you don’t like spicy get the vegetarian option (which was also good).

I had lunch here today and normally if I see poor reviews, I avoid those places, but I’m very happy that wasn’t the case! I quickly realized that these are specialty dishes sourced with high quality ingredients that may not satisfy those with local expectations! I recommend the beet salad, shrimp paella, and egg salad with white anchovy! I spoke with Chef Corey today while dining to explain more about the dishes! He would be happy to do the same for you! I can’t wait to go back and try other dishes!

I’m a fan! Just opened in Sawmill. Great tapas. Nice wine selection. Try the croquettes of Paella. The basque cheesecake is great, best naked.

This is a great place to experience many different dishes from Spanish cuisine at once. I really enjoyed the Tortilla Española and the paella, but my favorite dish was the steak montadito. The prices might be higher than you’re used to, but everything at Sawmill Market is fairly pricey. I think it’s more worth your money to try this place than to get overpriced lemonade and hamburgers. Be sure to not to walk in with expectations that all Spanish food should be hot like American food. Since tapas are Spanish appetizers, most items are already on display ready to eat, while a few items are cooked then served hot. This place is great if you want to try a variety of delicious food that’s different from the usual.

The food is very meh for the price, and I’ve never seen beans in traditional paella. Compared to other restaurants in sawmill, the menu doesn’t grab attention. The servers were polite though.

Overpriced and underwhelming. The server recommended 3 of what he called the “hot appetizers,” which he served me cold. I have been to Spain and loved the food. This was bland and overpriced. Maybe just buy the Jamón Ibérico, something they don’t have to prepare…

The quality of food is there but out of the five tapas we ordered four were cold or barely warm. Their Spanish tortilla had such potential but had been out on display for too long and was Iuke warm. The patatas bravas came out fresh and hot and were the best part of the meal. If you order from them ask for it to be made fresh. If they were to add some heat lamps to keep the food warm it would have made a world of difference.

I felt ripped off to be honest. $70.00 for a glass of wine, a Stella beer, pieces of Iberian ham, and two TINY (Super tiny) plates of a Paella. The “experience” is very costly and not worth it in my opinion.

For all the hype, I expected to try some really good food. This was not what I experienced. Paella was dry. Servings of tapas sit in the window until someone orders it. Not fresh, not flavorful, not planning on coming back.

As a Spanish descendant who grew up eating Spanish food made by his Abuela who was Gallega, I must say this place is amazing. The Tortilla Española was good, but sadly because they want to vegans be able to eat it I was told that is the reason they didn’t put chorizo on it. El Pulpo a la Gallega was almost like the one my Abuela Doña Manuela did when she was alive. The Paella tradicional was good and the Paella Negra (made with squid ink) was great and that is a win because is very difficult to make, even more, difficult than the Tradicional. Overall I say amazing. Go and enjoy. Also a bit pricey, but worth it.
