Little Moss is a magical outpost of gastronomy. Saying “it’s delicious,” although true, misses the truth of the place, which is culinary mastery and brilliant technique in the kitchen. Scallops crisped on the outside but tender on the inside, in a divinely seasoned lobster broth is one example – or the chicken confit with eggplant and cashew cream, with a crispy-skinned yet tender leg accompanied by eggplant with an almost gooey texture, also divinely seasoned… I could go on about every item on the menu, each different, yet fully realized in its own right. How do they do that? How do you make a scallop that crispy yet tender at the same time, with an indescribably smooth texture that caresses and tugs at the tongue? There aren’t words, these folks are just genius. You just gotta go. This is a GREAT restaurant.

Little Moss is an absolute gem!! Sat outside on the patio, which was just a gorgeous vibe. Our service was incredible. Food was delicious and stunning. Everything we ordered was executed perfectly, the tater tot was a highlight. Highly recommend this spot!

We had high hopes coming into Little Moss but were completely let down by the subpar service. The food was more interesting and better prepared than most restaurants in the area and we enjoyed all our dishes. But from the get-go we were seriously disappointed by the service. We felt like we were chasing down the staff for the whole meal – no one gave us water when we sat down and we waited a long time to order after receiving our appetizers – they forgot about an off-menu special fish, didn’t give us plates to share our mains until we asked, charged us for the wrong wine… the list could go on. Keep in mind that they automatically charge an 20% “fair wage fee” and then offer an additional line for a tip. We would be happy to return if the service improves and matches the quality of the food (and the price point).

This is an otherworldly dining experience. The food is simply outstanding. Go for the clam spaghetti, stay for the fudge sundae that will change your life. We love Little Moss!!

Very disappointing. We each ordered six oysters along with a salad, yellowtail crudo, olives, ricotta, and striped bass. The oysters, salad, crudo and olives all came out at the same time. It was food overload. No pacing. I spoke with the manager who couldn’t be bothered because he sitting at the bar with friends. When we finished the oysters, they were not cleared and we could not negotiate any more room at the table to share the next course. We finally moved the oysters to the next table. The salad was a watery wimpy bowl of greens that we sent back. We had to search for someone to refill our water glasses. It was a very disappointing evening. In addition to the quality of the food the dining experience is equally important. The experience was a zero. Our server never checked in with us. Unless it was to sell us another glass of wine. And we are greeted with a 20 percent service charge as an insult. We live here, would like to frequent the place, but this is the last straw. We would be embarrassed to bring guests to this restaurant.

We had a wonderful dinner. My steak was cooked perfectly and the frites were served with mayo (as they should be). The local fish was very good as well. Service was very professional. No complaints!!

The food was very tasty and inventive. I had a pork entree that was tender and juicy and the presentation was a work of art. The drinks were mixed well and the surroundings were cozy and inviting. Loved, loved this place.
