The Little Orient is a small family run restaurant. They have been slowly opening since Covid. Their restaurant is back open although it’s still not full service.

Enjoyed LO for the first time. Ordered takeout for lunch. Good food and service. It was a pleasant experience, happy all the way around! We had recently experienced the opposite at RJ in Layton. Glad co-workers suggested LO.

Asked if they make Singapore noodles, they said yes some lomein version, but they clearly do not. It’s a curry based glass/vermicelli type noodle with bean sprouts, onions and celery along with curry. Not the lame version of soy sauce drenched extra black pepper noodles you gave with every which vegetable you could think of. If you didn’t know how to make it, don’t say you do cause the version you made doesn’t exist but in your own head. Next time google it!

It’s sad to see restaurants like this one not doing well, when they’ve been around since I was a kid 25 years ago. The quality of food is poor, the service was mediocre, and the feeling of sitting in the restaurant with stuff stored around the tables and no guests makes you feel uncomfortable. First impression walking in the door the cashier is on the phone with someone that is obviously not work related, and immediately tells us they only do take out because of no customers. I wonder why? I don’t recommend this restaurant. There’s 10 other Chinese restaurants that will satisfy you.

I have been going to this restaurant since I was ten. I LOVE IT. The food here is amazing and the people who run the place are the best. I honestly couldn’t recommend it more highly. Thank you so much, Cindy!

Very little distinguishable flavor. “Fried Rice” that came with my combo was just rice and soy sauce. Slow service for the number of people there. Cup of soup that came with the combo was pretty small.

Tried this place for the first time. Ordered egg drop soup, lemon chicken, vegetable chow mein with hard noodles, ham fried rice, battered shrimp, and spring roll. The only thing good was the egg drop soup, chow mein and chicken. The ham fried rice was over cooked and had a weird taste. The shrimp was also way over cooked. I had to throw both away. The spring roll was just ok; really bland.

The chicken was old. Sesame chicken and sweet sour chicken. We threw it away. This wasn’t our first time eating here. But after the money spent and a family not able to eat, this will be the last

It’s exactly what you’d expect. That is NOT to say you should skip it.

We got takeout and the main dishes were beyond bland. The cream sauce that was with the walnut shrimp was just….not good. The rice was also overcooked and bitter. We were disappointed and ended up throwing it all away. The only thing we liked were the sesame balls. Not worth the money to go again though.
