Very nice place to have a quick lunch to dine in or take out. They have seats outside and inside with decent speed service. Person on the counter is always in a good mood and vibes. Unfortunately tried their crispy chicken sandwich which was tastier but piece of chicken was around 2 millimeters thick, you would only taste the breaded portion of chicken. My partner had salmon bowl which looked little bit more loaded on protein and he had no mayor complaint.

Cute little cafe restaurant tucked away between office buildings with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, close to the East River. Location is beautiful but options for breakfast are limited. Pastries not made on site, no decaf coffee option. Tried the açaí bowl, small and prepackaged. Would not return despite location.

The staff are absolutely lovely! Very sweet and helpful in explaining the menu. The ambience is very laid back and chic which I appreciate. The food is okay; I had the chicken lentil soup and grilled chicken sandwich and the chicken was super dry and the soup a touch under seasoned. However for the price, it’s acceptable. 10$ for soup and sandwich. Not bad.

Really nice lunch spot in the NYU medical center area. Sandwiches and bowls for around $15 pp. The coffees are good too.

Love the staff! The restaurant offers a seasonal menu with delicious options. My latest favorite is the French Toast.

I used to go to little river everyday. It’s the best. For 10-15 bucks you’re getting food that is high quality and tastes good. What are your alternatives in the area? Cafe D is not good for anything other than egg and cheese sandwiches late at night (egg and cheese with avocado on a roll with hot sauce is a great move. Somebody give me a named sandwich already!). It’s the only place I’ve gotten a smoothie and felt less healthy after drinking it. Tisch cafeteria used to have “red devil” hot sauce which just felt like it was overcompensating. It was basically red water sauce. Fine the cafeteria wasn’t that bad but little river is miles better. the view is awesome and everyone who works there is so nice. Best place in the area

Tucked away in the Alexandria center, this is a lovely little restaurant bar with outdoor seating overlooking the fdr. The drinks aren’t the cheapest and the music can give off an eclectic vibe, but it’s surprisingly nice watching the river and the cars of the FDR zoom by with a drink and (overpriced) snacks

Hilarious, kind staff. Delicious food, it tastes home cooked. And the basil vinaigrette is out of this world, it is legendary. I love all of their items. I always enjoy myself here. The decor is quite nice.

Cute eatery near NYU medical buildings and by the East River. On a wintry day, it’s a awful to get to because it’s a few avenue blocks from the subway. The food is quite good here. For lunch you have many healthy and delicious options. I went with the reuben and it was really good. But next time, I would opt for the half sandwich half soup combo. The half sandwich is a good size, and the soup is a solid bowl-ful.

Really accommodating. We had a large party and they ensured there were enough staff to cater to is without having to wait for long periods when good was served. Creative menu. Wait staff was very friendly.
