I’ve been living in Freehold for 27 years, yet I couldn’t even name another food court restaurant, let alone endear myself to any so much as I have Little Tokyo. When I was a little girl, I would so look forward to their INIMITABLE teriyaki dark meat chicken samples, and I spent my first wages ever on an actual meal from this place. It is a time-tested fixture at the Freehold mall, a must-have if you ever work or shop here and still a reliably fast and delicious option for me when I am in the area. I’m pretty sure I’ve been helped by the exact same woman at the front of the line my entire life, and she gives me a big smile every time I see her. I’ve tried teriyaki/bourbon chicken at other malls all over the state, and this is the only one that is not only delicious, but is prepared in way that is not greasy. This is truly the only place I will go for Americanized Chinese food and enjoy it at all. My go-to: 2 sides, 2 entrees – string beans and plantains, double teriyaki chicken. Even post-pandemic, the price is unbeatable for the amount of food you get.

I’ve never been disappointed, and this place has forever cemented itself as one of my favorite go-to yummy meal spots. Staff is always friendly, and service is fast. My personal favorites are the teriyaki and hibachi chicken, the spare ribs are great as well. Seasons change, time flows onward, but this chicken will always be DELICIOUS. Do I take a moment and affirm that every bite is delicious between bites? Yes. Deliver the savory goodness to your flavor receptors. Take a moment, just for you, where the world and all its problems melt away with a hint of ginger and honey. Because skillfully crafted and scrumptious food can help us through even the most dire times. Umai!

I usually come here for food when I go to the mall. The food is usually good but the owner always skimps out on food. The food was subpar today and the owner didn’t fill up the box, which is very upsetting because being hungry after paying for 2 full meals is ridiculous. I don’t know why since my wife and I were the only people buying food from here at the time and he still was being stingy with the portions. And what’s more is we always come here, we are pretty much regulars.

Food was awful. Waste of $16. We got Wendy’s next door bcz the food was so horrible. Veggies we’re like carboard, noodles we’re soggy old, and chicken was undercooked.

Food was fresh and delicious! My daughter and I split an order of teriyaki chicken, fried rice, and broccoli. Staff was kind enough to pick the broccoli out of the mixed veggies for my daughter. Even though we split the meal, there was still plenty left to take home. You truly get your money’s worth! We’ll definitely be back during our next visit to Freehold Mall!

This place is definitely hit or miss. But most of the time the food is delicious. My go to is the sesame chicken and it is the best sesame chicken out of all the places I have been to. Food is usually fresh. I would just ask to sample the food first.

Eww! Multiple people I know, including myself have gotten sick from this place! Not clean at all. Staff is not friendly. All they do is chirp out like annoying birds for people to take a free sample.

Typical Asian fusion, but it’s good quality. Staff is friendly and very quick. The sushi isn’t exactly top-tier, but it’s still fairly delicious.

Sesame chicken was good but too much breading. The spicy chicken was great and the yellow rice was average.

They charge me a different price anytime i’m there and I always get the same thing. They put way too much food you actually gotta tell them to stop or tell them that’s enough.
