Went to Little Tokoyo for the first time tonight, and really kicking myself for not going sooner. Food was excellent and so was service. Had the tuna carpacio for app and cold dipping noodles for my main. Will absolutely come back again!

Food was average. Service was poor. The waiter was wonderful, but at some point during lunch, their internet went down, and we were told to pay in cash or cash app, neither of which we had. The ensuing conversations ruined lunch for us, and we were forced to give a credit card number over the phone to a different location. Not cool.

This place was OK. I went this evening. The male host is too rude. He should be put away from customers. The waitress was very good. The food was tasty. The clientele is rough, which can’t be helped. And overall, the price is higher than the value (food portion, service quality, atmosphere). Soup: watery. Chicken Hibachi: delicious.

Unbelievable experience! Four family members and a baby who didn’t eat went to Little Tokyo to eat. Once the family reviewed the ticket, they were charged a gratuity tip of $17. They asked why they were charged a gratuity tip. The owner stated he charged a gratuity tip because he didn’t think they would leave anything. The policy states if five orders within a party, a gratuity tip is added. Only four orders were placed. I was told not to go there because of others experiencing issues with the owner. Several guests were at the other table, eating and witnessing what had happened. They also agreed that the owner was wrong and heard of mistreating others and would not be eating there again. It is the principle of adding the tip and statement that was made profiling the customer. The owner stated that they were right, but he would not remove the gratuity tip. Your thoughts? I am sure it will be a very unprofessional and rude response that will describe his attitude and behavior toward the great citizens of MS.

Definitely a nice change from the “standard” southern hibachi type places. This has a much more relaxing and calm atmosphere, and the sushi is noticeably higher quality! I would say this is a half step behind Edo and Sakura Bana for flavor, but I haven’t tried every roll to compare!

Cozy enjoyable environment. Ask for your drinks to be made w Greygoose. They have separate menus for regular dining and hibachi. Be aware if you’re not sitting in hibachi area but that’s what you want. Most of the appetizers were very hot when they came out. Gyoza let down. But the spicy honey sauce was good.

Best sushi and Hibachi in town. You may check their Today’s Special as well. Viking Rolls is one of my fave. One of the most friendliest restaurant I’ve ever been. Highly recommend! Five stars for Little Tokyo.

Great restaurant with friendly staff. Came here on a Wednesday night around 8pm. Was not very busy that day. Staff was friendly and we were seated fairly quickly. The restaurant was casual and clean, nothing too exquisite with the interior decorating. A wide variety of different sushi options. I prefer more of the cooked sushi rolls. Our server was helpful with recommendations. And for those that are not too good with chopsticks, they offer beginner level chopsticks which are much easier to handle. I tried the shrimp kodiac and also a smoked salmon roll. Also tried another fried sushi roll with cream cheese which was very tasty. It was served with spicy mayo. Condiments (soy sauce) are already on the table. Would definitely go back to try other options!!!

Normally, they do a good job. I think they weren’t paying attention today because they burnt most of my vegetables, and they had this burnt scortch taste as if the grill wasn’t cleaned first. The onions were burnt, I thought they were mushrooms. My plate had a hole in it, so my rice was at the bottom of the bag. I wanted to take it back, but I was running behind and had to meet a client.
