Just discovered this place and we love it. Food was delicious. I had a BLT. Lots of bacon, heirloom tomatoes, and a black something garlic spread. He had a smash burger. Both were really good. Burger sauce was yummy. The fries were great! Don’t miss ’em! We ate in the bar. Nice atmosphere. There’s a little deck off the bar for outdoor dining. Service was quick. The staff was friendly and helpful. We’ll be back!

Great roadhouse – we stopped in for lunch. Indoor and shaded patio dining, so our dog was welcome too, with a big fresh bowl of water. The burgers were great and came with amazing French fries! We also shared a slice of keylime Marion Berry cheese cake. We had a wonderful dining experience with an attentive waiter. We will be back, and we’ll bring guests!

Lively Station was a good experience for the most part. We came for dinner with a group of friends, and were pleasantly surprised at how yummy the food was. I had New York strip, while my husband had a smash burger. I would love to see a better option with the steak then seasoned vegetables and squash puree. Maybe mashed potatoes or a baked potato, but none the less it was divine! We also enjoyed a few cocktails. Everything was delicious, and on par (for the most part) price wise for other eateries in Salem. Now here is why they only get 4 stars. We had a party of 6 and were told at seating that the check(s) could not be split more than twice. A few people had come solo and were paying for their own. In what modern age restaurant can checks not be separated. No one carries cash in most recent times, so we had to figure out who owes who and what method to pay our friends because our check couldn’t be split. We were told that this should have been made aware to us when we called for a table earlier in the week, and it was not. That and the mandatory 20% gratuity is why they get 4 stars. We don’t mind paying a decent tip, but be up front about that. If I could change anything it would be the cocktail pricing…it seems a small cocktail I venture 6 Oz. shouldn’t be more than 8$ but these were 10! If it wasn’t a bit far out for us, we would probably eat again, but for now we’ll stick to special occasions.

The wife and I had a wonderful lunch. Attentive and friendly staff. There are two areas for seating – the bar or the dining area, we chose the quaint and casual dining area. The wife had a delicious BLT with a garden salad with a very flavorful vinaigrette dressing. I had a juicy and mouthwatering “Station Smashburger” with pepper jack cheese – probably my favorite burger in Salem so far. The fries were crispy and hot with a side of ranch dressing. We finished off with a raspberry ginger cheesecake which was satisfactory.

We have been here a few times and each visit is a little better than the last. This latest visit was for a quick afternoon snack and I was surprised we had only a few options though we got the Brussel sprouts and they were amazing. I think full meals work best here and I need to come back to try a full lunch or dinner. The patio area is fabulous and I love how old the building is and how well they preserved the interior. There is also a large detached room that looks perfect for private events or for business meetings.

This is a great place to go…IF you know what to order! There were some creative drink options to start. We both thought they were well made and flavorful! Ordered an appetizer (Burrata) that hit the spot especially since we were starving. Dinner came a little while later. The Butter Chicken was the best! Delicious flavor, a warm spice but not too warm with a crunch from the cashews. Highly recommended!! We had high hopes for the Sautéed Prawns. When they arrived they were only mildly warm. It looked like it was still going to be a tasty dish to eat but even after the first bite, it was obvious it was severely lacking flavor. I’m sure there are other dishes that would be good here and are willing to go back to try some of their other dishes.

On a cold winter day, I met my long-time friend for lunch at Lively Station. Tina was a wonderful server & bartender! The Brussel Sprouts & Shrimp Scampi with toast were delicious!! Tina made it even better. She suggested her 5-spice hot toddy and then shared her recipe with us! Wonderful drink to sip away on a cold winter day! A great experience ~

Very flavorful food! Location is quaint with a multipurpose establishment. Coffee shop upon entry with a little wine/beer market. Then in the back is a cool bar restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating options. Love this place and looking forward to returning to try other options.
