Great food, though all we had was spaghetti and Oysters Rockefeller. Had the creamy garlic salad dressing and some portions were very strong. But salad was good once you mixed dressing with the greens. Waitress was very cordial and did her job well. Will definitely go back again.

I haven’t been too Livios since last October. The food is still fantastic! My Linguini with Shrimp and Scallops were outstanding! The Bruschetta was too die for crispy bread with tomatoes and basil . Service is impeccable. I love the atmosphere in here. The lighthouses through out the restaurant are so warming.

Oyster rocks and calamari were good starters. I got the rigatoni al forno, everyone liked that. The filet and stuffed shrimp was a great choice by both the kidpleasant. Was cooked nicely. I did get a bite and it was delicious. Mom got the stuffed shrimp too. My chowder was chunky and hot. They must of had split pea recently because the bottom side of my spoon had some green paste stuck to the bottom. Kathy our server was plesant.

Ordered the pork chops. One was awesome, the other dry as hell. Sent that one back and they brought it back and said “Unfortunately it is overcooked, but they come in packs of 2 so we can’t do anything about it.” Apparently that was the owners call. I’ve always loved this place, but if you won’t fix an obviously overcooked item…..well I guess there are a lot of other options.

This used to be one of my favorite places to come for a nice dinner and a decent price. The last few times I’ve been here I was not impressed. The decor hasn’t changed in 15 years. I ordered the fish and it had so many bones I didn’t get one bite in without choking on one or it stabbing me in the gum. Then they offered a free desert. I ordered fish to be calorie conscious , the last thing I wanted was desert. It will be a while before I come back.

This used to be my go to for great chix Marcela among other things, with constant road construction on Rt.41 I’ve been absent a couple years after enjoying the original in Chicago heights for 20 years…at 5:30 on a Friday the place was not packed but yet after being seated it took 15 minutes for someone to notice we were there, no plates,water,drinks, silverware, waitress. Finally a wonderful server Shelly noticed and pointed at our table and things started moving..we both ordered the Marsela chix. It was NOT the same as I remember, sauce was bland, chix breast coating was different. Double bake was good, meat sauce pasta was good. After paying over $100 with cocktails/ tip there was a $3 surcharge for using a credit card to pay! WHAT? is this a small time BBQ place? That’s bush league cheap man! Foods different, services different, decore 1990. Thank you Shelly for your many years of service and your professionalism on handling the situation!

I put one star, but if i could have put none i would have. The experience was awful. Our food took about an hour to an hour and a half to come out. Then when it comes out, the chicken was dry, the pasta had no flavor and the steak looked like the picture below. The waitress then proceeded to get extremely defensive when we asked about this steak and then did not try to do anything to fix the problem.

I always enjoy a meal at Livio’s, I usually get the seafood Lasagna but I have been told their steaks are excellent. After tying this New York Strip on for size I agree, It was cooked to perfection (Medium rare) and I enjoyed every bit of it.
