If you love Asian food, this is a place to try! I tried many of their entrees recently, and each was unique and delicious. I especially loved the calamari and the duck. But there is something for everyone. It is a casual environment, not fancy. There is outdoor seating available, but it was hot outside when I went. The service was very good. Wait staff was helpful and kept the water glasses full. So, if you’re shopping at the Scottsdale Quarter, I’d recommend making a stop at Liz Modern Asian.

Liz Modern Asian is amazing! I stopped in for lunch and will definitely be back! Liz was there and took my order, she was so nice! I ordered the Asian brisket steam buns. OH MAN! They were amazing. So much flavor! I wish I ordered more!!! I will definitely be back for those again. I also ordered the fried rice and it was fresh and delicious. Very different from the box shop, Three meats in the fried rice was awesome! I highly recommend you try this gem. It’s a pleasant surprise to find a small business in the heart of Scottsdale Quarter. You can taste the love that goes into their work! Can’t wait to try more of the menu!!

Came here for lunch. The staff was super friendly. We ordered the pork belly steamed bun which was amazing. Also got the dumplings which was delicious and lots of fresh ginger. I order the Mongolian beef and my husband got the salt and pepper crispy pork. Both dishes were excellent!!!

Food was excellent, we had crispy shrimp & rice and shaking steak. Both cooked to perfection. The way the shrimp was seasoned and very very lightly breaded was perfect. The steak was so tender, very high quality. It was cooked perfect and I was amazed by the price. Quality Asian food and $5 glass of wine!! Service was quick, place is no frills but very clean. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you Liz.

Excellent food, clean dining experience and pleasant owners! I saw this recommended rest on n My Nextdoor app and decided to try it myself! The Lomein with combo beef, chicken and pork had fresh vegetables that were crisp. The Mongolian beef dish was excellent and tender. Finally good Chinese in Scottsdale.

This was fabulous. I have been wanting to come here for a while and everyone was on the mood for something different! It was great. The food was very fresh and hot. The sauces had wonderful full flavor. Lots of people at the restaurant and lots of take out orders going out. Looks like they have a gem here. The prices are fair for the quality of food. The tempura shrimp was similar to fried shrimp you get at a steakhouse with tempura batter. We loved it. The potstickers were full of flavor and you could get them two ways, steamed or steamed and fried. Some of the best potstickers I’ve had ever. The steamed brisket bun was so good too. We will come back to try more things on the menu. The girl behind me ordered the wonton soup. This is what I was thinking originally but filed myself I on appetizers. They can split the soup into two bowls for you too. The reviews are on target.
