After looking for restaurants on the Big Island we quickly realized most of them closed before 9pm. This one is a gem for being open so late and having the variety that they do. I had the shrimp Hawaiian bowl and wasn’t disappointed. The prices are amazing and the food is delicious. We will be returning here before our trip ends.

The food was incredible! But the guy working the counter was an absolute embarrassment for this establishment to employ. He was so rude and I watched every customer have to interrupt him playing his phone game to order. It bothered him so bad to have paying customers it was crazy. I know help is hard to find but this guy will ruin a business. Maybe put him in the back so he doesn’t have to interact with anyone? We all left blown away by him

On July 1, 2023, three of us embarked on a mission to eat musubi at all 12 L&L locations on the Big Island. This was our last stop on our over 11 hour journey. Maybe it was the volume of rice loaf and meat we had eaten to that point, maybe it was the sheer bliss of knowing this was the finale to our mission, or maybe it was the ridiculously hilarious exchange with the guy at the counter when attempting to buy a t-shirt.

Ordered 2 New York steak plates for my grandson who was in the hospital and he said it was ONO!!! There Chicken Chowmein is the best as well. This Captain Cook location is quick and the food is good. The seating area is an outside setting which is comfortable.

Food is filling. They give you a lot for a regular size meal. Food can be a bit better though. Service is ok. Just a little hard to understand the workers. They do charge for bagging your meals and their price is kind of high.
