Southern BBQ gem in the one stoplight town of Cave Springs, GA. Walking distance from the cave in Rolater Park. Delicious meats, beans and fresh salads. The staff makes you feel like family. If you are passing through or on the hunt for great BBQ, definitely worth a stop.

You can walk in this place and feel the positive energy. The atmosphere here just makes you excited to be here. The food was a little different than what I’m used to. It still was exceptional in taste and quality. This locally owned restaurant is a staple here. The staff was incredibly friendly. We even got to meet the owner who was working in the kitchen at the time. You can taste the love in their food.

Chicken nachos were wonderful. I enjoyed the pork plate. Potato salad was really good! Would not order the Brunswick stew again and the Mac and cheese was a bit dry. Banana pudding was good. Brisket has a lot of fat. Corn bread was a bit dry…I should have asked for some butter for it. Pretty small space but we were there on a festival weekend…so busier than usual… nice outdoor seating spaces though. If we go back, we’ll find what we like and stick to ordering such.

Even though we only live a mile away, this was our first visit to Local Joe’s. I’m not a meat-eater, but my husband had really been wanting to try it after being able to smell it all over town. The smokey BBQ pit fragrance lured him in!

My dad and I went in there to get something to snack on. This lovely lady was super sweet and got us a sample of everything. The food was amazing. We got smoked turkey, brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. Definitely recommend eating there.

Think of it as a catering business that runs a restaurant,attention to high quality food that the owner puts his own twist on and makes amazing food fair. Yes specials all the time. The chef makes a few different and special menu items for his customers everyday in addition to the regular menu items, and friendly pricing too. It’s Not Over the Top, but good comfort food. Tastes delicious great atmosphere in a quiet intimate dining experience,maybe a little louder when they’re packed but it’s still fun experience great for families and friends traveling through Cave Springs just down the street from the main part of town off the beaten path almost a Secret but everybody should know this place is one of The Great Places To Eat!

This place has amazing food. My husband got the ribs, my mom got the brisket, and I had the smoked turkey BLT with tomato chutney. Ya’ll, when I say that this is the best sandwich I have ever eaten…it was amazing. I was kinda surprised I have never had tomato chutney before. This stuff set the sandwich up and put it in another atmosphere!
