UPDATE: I have gone back three times for the fried chicken and it was terrible each time. Unlike my first visit where the batter was thin and flavorful, my last three orders seemed like the chicken was battered and cooked once, and then after sitting around it was battered a second time and re-cooked. The coating is cement hard, thicker than the chicken itself, completely grease soaked, and blows up when you try to cut through it. My wife also ordered it and we agreed that we would not be eating this ever again. Gravity Tavern in Mill Valley has a much better fried yard bird.

Yikes!!!! How do they do it? I have been here 3 times and I live in San Anselmo! I am eating my way through the menu selection. The Melt Burger is amazing. Fiorella’s meatballs…wow!! Oren’s Hummus.. a delicious snack. Going to try the Melt Tomato soup tonight. Pretty excited over this great new concept.

A welcomed addition to Mill Valley! Local Kitchens offers a great selection of well known fast casual restaurants from SF all under one roof! The service was efficient and friendly. I love that it’s open late (until midnight) which is a bit unheard of in this part of town. This will be my go to spot for late night cravings!

I placed a delivery order from the Local Kitchens website, which turned out to be a Doordash order even though that was not indicated anywhere while ordering. I got one sushirrito, which was extremely bland and was wrapped together in a way where the ends were loosely mashed together, and burst open as soon as I took a bite. I also ordered a sisig taco, which for some reason was packed in a full sized takeout tub with nothing to wrap it up, and arrived to me as just a shaken up pile of taco ingredients. And I ordered two Pressed juices, neither of which were included in the delivery, even though the delivery bag had two big stamps on it that said “BEV”.

Love this place! They have an incredible selection of delicious restaurants. Now they have Square Pie Guys! I have tried almost everything from the Impossible Melt, breakfast bagel sandwiches, Sushirrito, amazing pita and hummus, to the fresh pressed juices. The staff is friendly and welcoming. It’s one of our favorite places to pick up something healthy or even a little sinful. Keep up the great work!
