As a coffee connoisseur that has been to numerous coffee shops in my travels, the Local Motive always remains a favorite of mine. Their vanilla latte with oat milk is my current obsession. The espresso is smooth, not bitter, and the latte itself isn’t too sweet. Mixed with oat milk, this latte is creamy perfection. Besides from the coffee, this small business always provides great customer service and the shop is warm and inviting. I also appreciate that the barista takes the time to label my dairy free latte when I have other coffees in my order that contain milk. If you’re in Geneseo and looking for a coffee shop to visit, I highly recommend this place!

Had a wonderful experience at local motive! Just passing through on a road trip and found the staff is very helpful, friendly and fun! They offer a wide range of syrups and the staff is there to support your syrup selection which helped me select a coconut caramel latte (yum!). My husband got the honey cinnamon latte and the tiger belly breakfast samie. That tiger belly is worth the hype and should be an add on to every cofffee order!! Locals to the area are lucky to have this hip coffee spot but if your passing through it’s only a few minutes off the highway and worth the trip.

What a killer coffee shop! I’m from a few hours away and visited on the recommendation of a friend from town. I’m used to the big city coffee scene with fancy roasters and a high end feel, and this place was the perfect hybrid of small town and what I’m used to. Everyone was wicked friendly, and their whole bean selection was VERY good – rivals the roaster I usually shop at back home. I did my favorite order – the “give me any food, and any drink”, and it paid off. I had an iced latte if I recall, and the tiger sandwich. Both were excellent. I hope to come back to Geneseo soon and enjoy this gem of a business again!

Absolutely delicious cold brew with vanilla sweet cream! Definitely my favorite coffee drink around. The breakfast sandwiches are killer too. I love the Spinny Lou and Dr. Bojangles. My husband loves the Tiger Belly. We stopped in randomly on our morning walk a couple weeks ago and I have been back at least 10 times since. Great customer service and atmosphere.

I just had a toasted marshmallow latte that was so good I started laughing, crying, jumping up and down clapping my hands, cheering, tap dancing, playing the fiddle, running through a field in a long sundress thinking about all the wonderful possibilities life has to offer… it was really good.
