I have been coming to Hilton Head Island with my family for over 20 years. On our arrival day, we always grab something quick. I wanted to try a new pizza place. So, I googled and found Local Pie Woodfired Pizza. It was easy to order online for carry-out and pick-up was a breeze! The pizza is hands down the best pizza my family and I have had on the island! We will definitely eat here again. The staff was friendly! The pizza was hot and fresh!

This place was hopping on a Sunday night but everything was well executed. Cheerful staff that seated us quickly, brought us drinks, brought the salad out first but the pizza quickly after. The portion was just right- we shared a salad for three people with two 10” pizzas. The place had good parking, outdoor and indoor seating, was spacious/airy and lively without being annoyingly loud. Nice bar area and TVs.

We ordered a Mediterranean salad and a Little Bear pizza, they didn’t disappoint they both were outstanding! The place was not very busy at 7pm on a Wednesday so we got to ear and enjoy our dinner on the outdoor patio. Conveniently located next to an ice cream place if you still have room after, lol, not me! Highly recommend!

Honestly the pizza was just okay. Maybe we came on a bad day? Both my wife and I agreed that something was missing on each pie that we ordered as everything just lacked flavor. They all arrived promptly and looked delicious but we didn’t finish any of them which is not like us as we are known to devour some pizza. I would maybe give this place a try again but for the price and quality of food I would have rather gone to Mellow Mushroom which also has a Hilton Head location.

Ordered take-out from here in 2022 and it was so good we dedicated a night out to it in 2023, and then take-out again later in the week. The deck out back at the restaurant is a great place to eat, drink and hang out with your crew.

Efficient, friendly service (thank you Luka et al). Pizza and Caesar salad were fantastic. Chewy, perfect crust with excellent sausage (1/2) and mushroom (1/2) toppings, loved the house made sauce in addition to fresh, extra, house made mozzarella. A previous reviewer mentioned it being half empty….this place is slightly off the beaten track and we appreciated the seating and service. A local told us about this place and we were so glad!

Good price. Mr Maitake pizza was quite good. The seasonal pizza was meh. The pizza dough just doesnt have the neapolitan flavor. Just missing something water, flour used, yeast or something. Wood fired and cooked well. Salad was okay but store purchased croutons so nothing special. Likely the best you can get in Hilton Head.
