Founder Enzo Rosano grew up in a town just outside of Naples, Italy. His fondest memories of his childhood are centered around his mother’s cooking and the spirited meals he shared with his eight siblings. Her influence played a large role in Enzo’s decision to pursue a culinary career first training in Europe and eventually to opening the Locanda family of restaurants in the Bay Area. Enzo has created the perfect local favorite restaurants where the spirit of Mama Carmela’s cooking is shared with customers that have a passion for delectable authentic Italian cuisine in uniquely designed spaces.

Took my family here for a birthday celebration and had a wonderful time! The ambience was great and service was wonderful. The salmon, sea bass, and pasta with bolognese were awesome! We didn’t like the roasted vegetables so much. The drinks were beautiful and tasted delicious. Parking was difficult to find; most parking spots are street parking spots. There was a parking garage that we didn’t go to that was about a 2-3 minute drive from Locanda. I highly recommend this place for people who want a place with nice outdoors, great food, and delicious drinks.

First visit here. Fun atmosphere and decor. Nice patio and outdoor heated area. They turned an old bar into a fun restaurant. I hate to say it, but I was not impressed with the food. Lasagna didn’t have much flavor, and I didn’t care for the garbanzo soup at all. The petite four dessert and the appetizers were good. Will give it another try sometime.

We had great food and great service. It is a smaller restaurant which is one large indoor room with high and low tables surrounding a bar in the center of the room. The kitchen is in the back of the room and open to the restaurant. We liked the wooden tables and colorful dishes and glassware. There is also seating outside under a tent covering which did not look inviting to us, but several people asked to be seated there instead of indoors. The food is delicious, and the menu has helpful vegetarian and gluten-free designations. This was our second visit, and we will definitely be returning to dine here again.

Love the Valentine’s Day here: special menu , food is beautiful, tasty! All personnel is very unique and authentic! Amazing and beautifully served food, great wine and cocktails. We really enjoyed the meatballs, short ribs, and short rib pasta. They have a good wine selection and make tasty espresso martini. The servers were friendly and attentive. The quality of food was much better than last time we went. It’s easier to get a table if you make a reservation.

Went in for drinks and an appetizer. Great atmosphere and vibe for downtown Livermore. Inside and outside seating. Food was well presented and tasted great. They got my wife’s order wrong but quickly fixed it. Gluten free crust available for the yummy pizzas. Delicious Cabernet gelato too!
