Texas in Michigan. The real bbq experience in lake Orion. Food choice is meat oriented as expected but you will find vegetarian options so everyone can enjoy a dinner out! Great local beer selection. Staff is very pleasant and helpful.

The place had a nice ambiance and staff but the food was not worth the money. First the prices on their online menu do not match the in restaurant prices. I ordered something marked online for $17 dollars but was charged $19 for it, as the in-store menu did not match. Second the brisket was dry, bland, and had a lot of fat. My first bite was a mouth full of fat. The Pulled pork was dry and flavorless. The sweet potato fries were soggy and disgusting. The sauce was decent. I feel like they are hoping that decent sauces can mask their bland food.

Two of us went to Lockhart’s BBQ about two weeks ago. We came in for a couple draft beers and a burger and a sandwich. When we walked in the manager Nick was very welcoming. He asked where we wanted to sit, we decided to sit at a table in the bar area. Our waitresses (bartenders) came right over to greet us also. The staff there were great!! We felt so welcome. We had some pickled veggies while we were deciding what to order. We decided on a club sandwich and a burger. The food was excellent! The manager was around several times taking care of business and the customers. My friend that had never been there said he loved the place and would be back. I don’t know what was better, the food or employees. Just wanted to say that we had a great time and the atmosphere was great. Thanks
