Authentic Hawaiian food by owner (and husband) family served up Hawaiian food in Haleiwa town. Taro brand poi is fresh. No fruit or green salad is on the menu as is saimin though it can be ordered and Purity Portuguese sausage to take home. Great selection of plate lunch with beef, chicken or pork. Lomi salmon and poi complimented the laulau (pork) w/luau leaf. Add squid luau and/or chicken Long rice ($$ more) and ‘Kanak attack!’

A wonderful and unique restaurant has graced Locust Grove and I was very excited to try this place for my birthday dinner. It’s hard to imagine that we are lucky enough to have a Hawaiian restaurant with very traditional dishes. Unfortunately, much of the menu was not available as we were told that the ingredients are imported and many and has not arrived yet for the week. What the restaurant did have and we were able to eat was absolutely fantastic, no question about that. There is also so much that the restaurant could do in terms of environment and decor to evoke the feeling of being in a Polynesian place but was left undone. That said the service is stellar and the waiter was absolutely. The food we had was perfect and had all the familiar flavors from the wonderful state of Hawaii. I hope that the restaurant continues to develop and will endure for many years to come. I know that I will be a repeat visitor and I highly recommend everyone to try this unique restaurant.

This is our first time visiting, but not the last. The pork is great, I got the pork and cabbage, and my husband got regular. I was told that the macaroni salad was “the best,” and I was disappointed. It tastes like noodles and mayo. But that’s okay, I really went for the pork… and I will go back again!

Whenever I’m missing home cooked (Hawaiian) food I come here to get my fix. You are welcomed with Aloha as soon as you walk in. Food is ono (delicious) and they sell Portuguese sausage to take home.

Today we had to shoyu chicken and the teriyaki beef they were both excellent my wife really likes to add the soy sauce and the juice from the chicken to her rice and as for me the egg over my rice it’s very delicious.

Their Poke nachos were so delicious! We’ll definitely be going back, just for that. The fried rice was also very delicious. The mac salad, potato salad, and LauLau pork were just OK. The Spicy Garlic Shrimp were really greasy and I had to peel them while hot and greasy, not fun, although they were really tasty. Will be going back for more Poke nachos and fried rice and to try some other things.

ONO KINE GRINDZ!!! As someone who was born and raised in Hawaii, this is as close to local food as you can possibly get. For people who have not ever had Hawaiian food, it may be a bit of a jump, but if you’ve ever eaten local food in Hawaii this is the best you’ll find in Virginia. They are just starting out as a business when we are here so the atmosphere is a bit lacking but I’m sure that will come as the business grows. The service was excellent too! The waiters seemed to know what all the food was or at least tried their best to describe the foods to the costumers around us who were unsure. Overall, this place made me feel at home!

Loved everything about this place. We spent almost 4 years in Hawaii and loved the food there. Locus Grove Fork & Spoon brought back all those memories. The shoyu chicken and teriyaki beef were so ono (delicious). The sides (rice and mac salad) were just like being in Hawaii. They also have Hawaiian Sun drinks, which if you’ve been to Hawaii, then you KNOW. My wife is a huge guava fan, so we had to try the guava chiffon cake, which was incredible. It’s definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely authentic delicious Hawaiian food. It is so worth the drive to Locust Grove, Va. but tastes like you are eating at the North Shore. I was actually happy that I stopped in….I will be back…If you don’t know what to have for dinner do yourself a favor and go Hawaiian…you won’t be sorry.
