Small restaurant with table service. Not a large menu, but everything is good. Tamales daily. Quick and efficient service. Walk-up and to-go orders.

My husband and I ordered dozens of tamales for our upcoming Christmas party from Lolita’s. Their tamales are best that we have every had.We also had breakfast there. The Chile Verde pork plate was delicious and reasonably priced.

Had the Pork Tamales for the first time yesterday…boy I am in heaven! Best tasting pork tamales I ever had, it was not dry, the inside was moist and the meat was fresh, just enough sauce too…

Bought tamales here on Christmas eve (didn’t mind the 5 hour wait). The Green Chili Cheese tamales were absolutely delicious, but the Red Pork tamales had no sauce what so ever inside – just pork and masa. Very disappointed. I suspect they ran out of sauce and decided to just keep selling them anyway. If they had said something, that would be one thing, but they didn’t. I won’t be back.

WARNING, do not eat here. Food is not good at all. They are famous for their tamales, but I wonder why. Definitely not worth it. The place is very, very, very old and not on the nice way. Broken booth seats, dirty tables, nasty chairs and food is not good AT ALL. The “famous” tamales we’re undercooked, with WAY too much salsa and no meat. The champurrado has clumps of masa and it tasted like old milk, I did not even drink it. I will not be stoping ever again.

I loved this place years back when quality was a serious issue

To be honest it’s a run down food place in a bad area…Tamales are average… Menudo is under cooked and rubbery. At one table the broken down seat is broken and moves when you move…Staff is basically indifferent to customer concerns.

Horrible. First warning that the food is not going to be good, when you come in you can see the place is not very clean. The enchiladas and chilies rellenos in display don’t look appetizing at all.

My menudo did not have flavor and my tamales were not as warm to make the cheese melt inside. The service was nice, but the place is old and out dated.
