Went to try LoLo Hawaiian BBQ today in Draper. I was very disappointed at my meal. I was hoping arriving near opening time would have a better chance on fresher food from a chain restaurant. I ordered the 2 meat plate and got the teriyaki chicken and kalua pork with rice and a side of mac. The chicken was just bbq grilled chicken with teriyaki sauce on top. The kalua pork was really dry. The mac salad was very bland. They gave me to small sides of katsu sauce which didn’t really help save any of the meats. Next, I tried the spam musubi. How does one mess up spam musubi? The spam was so dried out like they cooked it before time and was left out for a day. Sure, they have some teriyaki sauce on the block of rice, but dried spam just ruined it. Maybe I’ll try another location and see if another location does better.

We came to the restaurant with a big party kind of late and I think we caught the restaurant crew of guard a little. The girl at the counter wasn’t super friendly but she wasn’t rude either. The food was fantastic and the portions were awesome. I definitely felt like I got my money’s worth. We will definitely be back even though we live about 50 minutes from the location.

Just so know you the directions are a bit off. So watch for the entrance right after the light. The food here is fantastic, I got the mini meal which is a scoop of rice, one meat and either macaroni salad or a green salad. I got the Hawaiian pork as my meat and oh my goodness it was so good. Tender and juicy with a nice big portion. They also have the Hawaiian Sun drinks and I love the lilikoi passion. Well worth the extra cost. Otherwise they have fountain drinks.

My family are Hawaiian barbecue fanatics and usually try new places whenever we have the chance. We had the Kalua pork, Katsu chicken, short ribs, macaroni salad, and rice. Everything was up to our standards and what we expected. Wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve had but it is very satisfactory for fulfilling a Hawaiian barbecue desire. Portion sizes are also very generous.

Ordered to go and they had the food ready quickly. The pork was really fatty and not my favorite compared to other places but I liked the different types of chicken that we got. If you like Hawaiian food, I think you’ll find something here to make you happy.

Pretty good hawaiian food. It is similar to other restaurants like Mo’ Bettahs. One really nice thing about LoLo is that all the sauces are free and they have a large variety of sauces available.
