Usually a very good place to eat. As long as you go during peak hours, you’ll almost always get fresh & tasty food. But if you go at 1:30-4:30 pm, your chances of a good meal go down from like 95% to 50-60%. A lot of places are guilty of that though. I rarely have a bad meal here. I always like getting the fish, chicken, and shrimp platter, like from the pics.

I don’t know why LJS gets a bad rep. I absolutely enjoy their food. The service is always good and the food is always hot. My chicken platter was amazing. I’ve haven’t had a bad experience here yet. There isn’t too many left. I hope this one doesn’t leave!

Idk what they’ve got going on at LJS right now but that was the best fast food seafood I’ve had since I was a kid. Whatever they’re doing I hope they don’t stop. A year ago the food looked shriveled and pathetic so I had low expectations. This time the food looked commercial ready. Good breading on the fish and hush puppies. Shrimp was crispy and huge. Also the woman working the drive thru was the friendliest I’ve seen in a long time.

This is one of my favorite places to eat when I come home to Charleston Wv. This time was not a good experience. My chicken was not cooked completely this immediately turned me off. Now the manager was nice and gave me my money back but I was still disappointed for I look foward to going there for my combination plate. Please take your time and make sure food is not pulled earlier than recommended.
