Ms. Pat for the win!! Our family of 4 agreed to eat at LJS, since we haven’t been there in so long. When we first came in, not much had changed, except the prices. We ended up ordering an 8 piece family meal, clam strips and popcorn shrimp, which was made perfectly and on time! I went back to the counter to grab some plates for us, when Ms. Pat brought out two small baskets with extra clam strips and popcorn chicken. She said that they had made some more by mistake and wanted our family to have the extras at no additional charge. That was the most awesome gesture. After we ate, my kids asked Ms. Pat if they had any pirate hats. Ms. Pat took the time out to look for them, but ended up not finding anything. The entire staff was so friendly, and they do run a tight ship. Ringing the bell again for last night’s service!

Stopped in on a road trip, i haven’t had it in 15 years. Nothings changed, and that’s good. Great food but dated atmosphere. Service was bad too. Took 15 minutes to get food. I pulled back around because they didn’t give me any sauce for shrimp or tarter for fish. She gave me creamy garlic packets?? Oh well, not a big deal. Food was still great.

Surprised! The food was fresh and good. The lady behind the counter was nice and allowed myself plenty of time to choose what I wanted with out being rushed. Although the dining area was not busy the team still made sure it was clean.

We ordered takeout. We waited 14 minutes with one car ahead of us still waiting. Had a simple order of 2 orders of clams and a crab cake. The crab cake was not done all the way so Had to finish cooking it at home. 2.50 for that little thing about the size of a soup can lid. My clams were cooked so much I could barely chew them. Always loved long Johns but way aver priced and not good now. This pic is 2 orders.

Ordered the family meal. Fries and coleslaw. Received what I would say overcooked fish and chicken (yet the crumbles were fine). Went back and asked them to replace and they said it was fine. They said the oil was old and is due to be changed tomorrow. Wow. I know everybody is hurting and this poor guy tried his best. But wow. Hushpuppies were five times the normal size and didn’t get my coleslaw.

July 30, 2023 I went to eat inside 20 minutes before the dining area closed, and I was informed that I would have to leave at that time even if I wasn’t done with my meal. All restaurants allow you to finish after the doors are closed. I left without ordering. It was obvious that the female employee had no allegiance to the business … only her own interest.

Service is on most occasions very fast. Food is okay, for what the food is I can’t complain but I will anyway. The food they serve is always very greasy… Like I said, I can’t complain since it is fried food but I feel as though it could be made better.

If I could give this place a 0 I would. This place is so disgusting. Got an adult popcorn shrimp and received 6 little popcorn shrimp, the fries were cold!!!! Everything sucked!!!!! Spent $60 on food we could barely eat….when I complained I was told to shut my mouth!! Smh I will never eat at this place again.
