We walked in and the staff was very blah. The male employee was cordial when he came to the table. The entire restaurant was filthy. Floors were greasy and sticky and drink spilt all over the floor in front of the fountain. Bench seats were torn and tables were covered with food. Bathrooms were disgusting. No one else was really there. The food was decent. We had fish, hushpuppies, and fries. Not a pleasant experience after stopping in after 10 hours of driving.

I’m very disappointed. The food came in a brown paper bag instead of the box. Hush puppy was fried till nothing was left. We did not receive tarter sauce. Was only given 2 Napkins. The fact that they said it would be a few like they were making it fresh. They did not.

Employees were really loud. The food portions are not worth what you pay. Will not be back. 35.00 for 2 people and had about 10 fries and 2 very very small hush puppies. Now I know why LJS all over are closing. I have pictures wish I could show you our plates. Employee said I know they make us raise prices all the time and tell us to cut the portions. That’s how you lose customers. I’ve owned 4 restaurants so I know all about the business.

If I could give no stars I would. My family came to eat here. Some fries were warm and some were half cooked. The hush puppies were like croutons. Very disappointing.

The chicken is always better than the fish. This place takes fried food to a whole new level of flavor. I only eat here about once a year but it is worth it. The fish is ok, the hush puppies are amazing, and the chicken is the best item on the menu besides the mussels, which are pretty good too. The batter they use is a pretty good recipe with a decent flavor. The fish might not be fresh but it is still just as good as fish from Sonic or McDonald’s or Burger King.

So horrible. Got a side of popcorn shrimp with my meal. Lol it was like 10 tiny pieces in a box. For 2.99. My meal I ended up throwing away because Big shrimp and fish in my combo was soggy in the middle and so hard on the edges and salty very salty. So disappointed spending almost 20 dollars on a trash meal. Will not go back.
