We are not from this area and we pulled to the drive thru and asked what time they close and was told in 1 minute so we were going to leave but the sweet girl working said it’s OK they still have food.. so we ordered and she even let me cone inside and use the bathroom. Drive thru does not allow for slow, large orders to be deverted for the smaller and quicker orders. Making for 30 minutes or longer wait times for orders that should only take a few minutes to receive after ordering. This is a management decision that has cost them my business, not to mention the over pricing that they are all guilty of.

Okay listen, you don’t go to LJS for the atmosphere, the service or the healthy food. I mean, most of these places you are just happy if they grunt when they take your order. This LJS at least as some pretty friendly staff. We only eat here when the teenager is with me and we are rolling through town. My arteries can’t handle this goodness very often, so we don’t make it a habit. The dining room is about as clean as it has been for the last 40 years and the grease will always be there. But come on, who doesn’t love your fish battered in a layer of grease?!

Have not been here in a long time. All staff I came in contact with were great. Excellent customer service skills. The place was somewhat clean but maybe due to staffing it wasn’t as well maintained as usual. Food was hit a d miss. Fries were hot and freah as were the hushpuppies. My chicken was not it was dry and not fresh. I didn’t eat it. Hubby’s meal was the same. He only ate about half of it. That was a bit disappointing. But maybe it was due to staffing or.just an off day. Will try again sometime and update when I do.

It’s difficult to find a LJS that’s decent anymore. Sad thing is most of the good ones are now an A&W/LJS restaurant. This one had good fish and shrimp. The chicken was sub par and the clams were disgusting.
