I ordered and went to wash my hands. By the time I left the restroom my food was already done and fresh!!! I haven’t had LJS in forever so I had to grab some when I saw it (never seen one connected to a KFC. So I was intrigued) I ordered a 3 fish dinner(ate the hush puppies and a fish before remembering to take a picture) the food was very tasty and just like I remembered. I hate they switched to the tarter packets, they aren’t as good as the cups but food was still delicious and fresh and the inside was very clean. Thank you for this experience.

I had a coupon for Long John’s Silver. Had not eaten LGS in several years. I like to cook and I rarely eat out. I entered the building, saw no LGS sign and went back outside. Confused I looked at the drive through window menu and confirmed that LGS was sold inside so I went back inside. You must walk up to the counter to see a LGS sign and menu which is kind of hidden on the right. The fish was great. The chicken tenders had no taste at all but I’ll eat anything and so I ate everything. Hush puppies and fries were really good. Cole slaw is average and a little dry. I did get a free drink for having grey hair which I appreciated.

I’m not going back for a while. The butterfly shrimp is almost always inedible. I waited for a 15pc fresh dropped shrimp today. I paid, and what did I get? Shrimp that seemed to have been fried, dried out, then refried. Or something… I ate about 5 of them, and they were all terrible. So hard I could hardly chew them, and they tasted cooked to death. So dry. They ask you to pull to the side. It took almost 10 min for them to come out. The shrimp was all we ordered, btw. You would think you’d be getting fresh food, but that’s not the case. I’ve had this happen to me way too many times here. I used to come here like once a week but I’m done. Unless I ask and stand there, I almost never get fresh shrimp. I hate to leave this kind of review, but it needs to be said, so maybe someone will take notice. I’m not wasting any more money there.

I cancelled my order because they panhandled me by asking for a donation when I ordered food. I refused to be put on the spot and hassled for more money while I have my money out. Furthermore, I will never do business with a restaurant that treats their customers like this. I will never go back.

Another poor experience, the fish was dry, crunchy and dark brown on the bottom like it had been sitting in the warmer for hours. The chicken was okay but the fish is not cooked to order.
