Was visiting from out of town with my family. Appropriately named because it is located on a long road and it is a cafe. Had the club sandwich which had plenty of good quality meat. One of the workers seemed incredulous because I didn’t want cheese on my sandwich, but I realize now he only wanted the best for me. My other family members had the Cuban. They were highly pleased.

Made the ride out to Long Road Cafe yesterday for lunch. The food was delicious!! I had the Italian sub, which was exactly what I missed from my teenage years. My fiancée had the “Porker” flatbread and said it the best pizza she’s had recently. My mom had the club sandwich and said it was great! We all definitely recommend taking the ride out to Mayland and stopping by. The entire staff is super, super friendly and helpful, like you’d expect at a mom n pop shop. Their menu isn’t gigantic but it doesn’t need to be with quality ingredients and recipes. Another great place that isn’t commercialized fast food.

Visiting the local RC track in the area I searched for food and this was the first option and the ratings were high and rightly so. Spicy Turkey club and the Mac n cheese were delectable. Will be sure to return on my next visit to the area.

This gem is off the beaten path — in the community of Mayland, TN. Nine of us met there for our monthly retiree lunch. It was the first time there for all of us. It’s a no-frills establishment where you order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. The owner visited our table to explain the menu options and answer any questions we had. We will definitely go back.

I was driving through the country helping a friend move, and we were craving something to eat. This spot popped up on maps and we decided to stop! Their menu is filled with fresh sandwiches and I got a turkey club sort of sandwich. The cashier was so kind and helpful, suggesting for my friend one of their melts which was delicious as well. If you find yourself in the area, definitely get lunch here!

We decided to stop at this charming roadside cafe on our way back home from Nashville. Wow! Bruce’s Bomber which is sliced roast beef, bacon, smoked gouda, lettuce, onion and Chipotle mayo was fantastic! Probably one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! (I’m gluten-free and I couldn’t resist eating a portion of the delicious super soft potato roll (lightly grilled inside) that it is served on! I’ll be paying for that later but I thoroughly enjoyed it and it’s worth it!) The Chipotle mayo complemented it perfectly and had that little touch of spice which I love!!! We also ordered the Mary’s melt which is turkey, ham, bacon, pepper jack cheese, house sauce, lettuce, tomato and onion and it was fabulous as well! One side is included with your Hot Melt, we opted for potato chips and the bean and ham soup, so delicious! I’m sad that this place is so far away from Charleston … hmmm… maybe open a second Long Road cafe near there!!

First off Bruce and his wife are amazing. They have some of the best food in the Crossville area hands down. Mac n cheese is amazing and I can’t even explain how good the subs are. Bruce bomber, Mary’s melt, Gigi’s sub. All so good and more than one person should eat.
