Let me start off by saying we used to love Long Wongs. My mother, son, and I went in today for lunch, waited over 10 minutes to get seated. Our table was sticky and gross, and there were flies everywhere. My mom and I ordered a beer to split and the waitress, Cherish forgot about it completely. While we waited, my son wanted to play in their “arcade.” Every single game is out of order, and the toy machines stole his money. We tried to get more quarters, but they told us we needed to get 10 dollars in quarters? WHAT? I told the waitress after 45 min that we just wanted to pay for the drinks. it’s obvious The waitress forgot about it. As soon as I asked where our food was, Cherish said, “let me see if it’s ready.” She said they were very busy. There was literally one other table in the dining room.She came back a minute later with cold, slapped together sandwiches and soggy fries. We refused the food, got up, and asked for our bill. Cherish attempted to try and charge us for the untouched gross,cold food. She asked if I wanted my dollar in change and then had to dig through her purse for the change. Then, told my mother that we “were not welcome back there.” For what purpose? We were civil and simply refused the underwhelming food. I would never even dream about it. Absolutely disgusting, unsanitary, and rude service. As I said, we used to enjoy Long Wongs. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Worst restaurant experience I’ve had, bar none.

This restaurant is a town favorite! I love how Long Wongs is decorated and I love the vibe the restaurant has. We notified them ahead of time that we would be coming with a large group and for the amount of people we had, the service wasn’t terrible. We had two servers assist our tables and they were both extremely friendly and helpful. Due to the quantity of people we had, along with the other customers they had, it took a while to get drinks, order and get our food. We asked if we could order our kids food first and they weren’t able to do that. They don’t offer gluten-free meals but they do have salads available. Everyone at my table ordered hot food except me (I ordered a salad) and the meals came out staggered. My salad came out last, came out was wrong and had to be sent back to be fixed but everyone else seemed to have no issues. They have alcoholic beverages available, an arcade area and outside seating. A lot of people dine out and bring their dogs. They also have a Love Lock Fence which is truly amazing. I think it’s a wonderful touch to this place! Overall, not a bad experience.

We can’t resist Long Wongs, literally. We always try to tell ourselves to try something new but ALWAYS end up here haha. We usually sit in the main eating area with our two kids… today we were on a date, my hubby and I so we sat in the bar area for something different. Outside seating is an option as well. Very busy today but still got in quickly with awesome service. Didn’t feel rushed and also met an older couple from white mountain lakes explaining how much they love long wongs, asked what we were eating and how good it looked. My family and I always get the XL one topping pizza, 12 wings… your choice of sauce and a huge salad, 37.99$. Great bargain and it feeds our family of 4 with lots of leftovers for dinner. We ordered the same today. Gorgeous weather, awesome and inviting atmosphere and kind service. Always pleased.

Dinner Friday night: Fish was good, but batter was thicker than normal. French fries were greasy and soggy, ordered mixed vegetables in place of fries on my order and they were cold and rubbery. My wifes shrimp were nearly cremated. Not a good experience on this visit and we are a regular customer

I went there this Friday, early afternoon with my well-behaved service dog and we sat outside in the supposed “dog freindly” area. From the first contact with my sever I felt rushed and unwelcome. I intended on spending the evening there having dinner, a few drinks and spending my money. I told the waiter I planned to eat dinner, but wanted to wait since I had planned to relax and spend my evening there. Every time he came to the table he pushed me to order. I was asked if i wanted some water for my dog. He came back and said he was waiting for an available dog bowl (there were no other dogs there), the water never came. I felt very uncomfortable and rushed. I paid my bill, tipped 20% and left for the Lions Den where we will be treated much better. I am very disappointed in our treatment.

Substantial portion sizes, great happy hour specials, friendly (but overworked) staff. Very nice little joint carved into beautiful pines, even nicer on a nice day. Id suggest sitting in the bar or outside on a nice day or evening. I think they have live bands on certain days.

We called at 4 and asked if they could seat a table of 9 and was told yes. We drove over about 5 minutesv later and after being sent to 2 different doors we were finally seated in the bar area. The restaurant area could only seat 8. After being seated, the initial order and drinks were quick. But then things went rapidly downhill. The green hatch chile cheese fries were soggy and cold, and we didn’t get silverware until we asked for it. Over 40 minutes later we got our food. The waiter unceremoniously placed the food down then didn’t come back again until 30 minutes later with the check. It is Friday and one of our party members ordered the unlimited fish fry for $15.99 but only got one plate due to the service not coming to the table. The normal fish plate is $12.99 but we still paid the $15.99 for “unlimited”. During the time we waited for our check, there was a deaf couple that came to the bar side and waited about 15 minutes, were ignored, and eventually left. The bus boy was very attendant to our table and cleared plates and brought to-go boxes for us, etc. He provided better service than our actual waiter. After paying and tipping we left and gave feedback to someone who happened to be the manager, and she at least understood that the kitchen and wait staff were dysfunction during our visit. We had already paid and weren’t looking for anything free, so we didn’t push for anything like that. To summarize, the food in Pinetop has so far been fantastic, but the food at Long Wongs is mediocre, as the service – at least during our experience – was abysmally poor. We’re going back to Mr. Zekes or Pinetop Brewery next time instead.
