What a fantastic night of entertainment! Lonnie’s band killed it, and the level of showmanship and engaging the audience was high energy for a jazz club. The service and the food were both good as well. The club is relatively small, with more of an upscale restaurant feel. Not a bar.

I took my mother out to this place and it was my first time ever seeing a jazz band play live, and I would like to say that I’m grateful for choosing this place to be my first. I don’t remember the host’s name, but he was superb. He was very sweet and helped me out with a couple things. Everyone that worked there was amazing. I thought the food wouldn’t be that good or wouldn’t fill me up, but halfway through the main course I felt pretty full. Now Lonnie and his band are amazing performers. There was warm energy flowing from every single one of them. I especially loved Lonnie’s energy that he put into his performance. You can tell that every single one of the members were passionate with what they were doing and that they genuinely loved to be there and perform. I’m not all for spending so much money on food, but this is 100% worth it for the cost.

What a fun experience! Lonnie can entertain (we have seen him before) but the set-up and dinner made it a unique experience. Food was pretty good but not the main reason we went. I would recommend for anyone visiting kc or trying to shake up the normal routine. Fun night!

My wife and I and family friends went to Lonnie’s Reno club last night! This is a must for anyone that lives in Kansas City or is traveling to Kansas City! We thoroughly enjoyed every second of this experience. The way he can tell the history of Kansas City Jazz through his performance is incredible. Our first time last night we were already looking forward to the next show in a couple weeks. Also did I mention his band tyreek, The Maestro and the kid are equally as incredible. Amazing experience. The food is very good but the reason for going is Lonnie and the band. “Best date night ever” was my Wife’s response after the show was over. During the intermission our discussion focused on which friends we would bring first. I was originally trying to make a reservation for Capital Grill and this popped up on Open Table as a recommendation. The total cost for the two of us was less than dinner would have been at CG but the experience was 1000 times better. 3 course fixed menu so go on the website and look at the menu and drink options. This was the most fun we have had in Kansas City.
