The food is really good. All the meats are done very well. The sauce selection is small, but the 2 options are decent. I’m not a fan of the potato salad, IMHO. Onion rings, fried okra are good. I ordered the elote, which was a great side, just enough spice. The Shoestring fries are not my favorite. The service was really good and the drinks are top notch. I do wish they had a kids menu or at least kid portions.

Yummy! My coworkers and I loved it!!! The brisket tacos with chips and okra were so good. A couple of us git the 2 hander and hoovered them. Great sandwich! We all loved the okra and onion rings. The elots was bland. The key lime pie and banana pudding were also very tasty.

The friendliness of the staff was great. The time between ordering and receiving the food was long. The BBQ sauces are not good. My turkey and brisket were cold as soon as I received them. Unfortunately, they were already out of ribs shortly after opening. The queso was delicious. But the beans are a complete miss. Overall, the taste of the food versus the price doesn’t warrant another visit at this time. I think I’ll wait a while and let them hit their peak and try it again and see if things have improved.

The food at this restaurant is delicious. The beef is tender, the grilled pork is tasty, and the corn is also delicious. I’m not sure why there are a few black kernels in the corn. I enjoy the sauces they serve here.

Decided to try this new restaurant and went there for my lunch. I got there just after they opened and there were very few customers inside. I ordered a Brisket sandwich, Borracho beans, Fried okra and a sweet tea. Before I paid the Cashier, she warned me that neither tea container contained sweet tea (no sugar had been added) but that I could use the little packets that were there to add to my tea. The brisket on the sandwich was very good (very lean and tender). The beans were good. The okra was OK (the pieces were cut much smaller than normal and the batter seemed different thicker? than you usually get.

This place is confusing. On one hand, the meat is some of the best we’ve had. The brisket and pork ribs were exceptional, the sausage was good, and the onion rings and fries were great! On the other hand, the barbeque sauce was awful. It tasted like ketchup and molasses were mixed, maybe with a hint of worcestershire. Speaking of ketchup, it was HORRIBLE! Why use quality ingredients and go cheap on ketchup? We ended up eating our fries plain. They offer complimentary made-in-house pickles that were just okay. Further, while their prices are in line with other high end BBQ restaurants (eg – Lockharts or Pecan Lodge), they do not have any good sandwich-plus-a-side options nor any platters. They also do not offer any samplers; their only multi-meat sandwich is set at brisket, pulled pork, and sausage with two onion rings on top. Finally, when you order 1/2 of meat, they weigh it out and charge you accordingly! So 1/2 lb of turkey was $11 per half-pound; they weighed it at 0.518 lbs and charged us $11.40! It felt like customers were nickel-and-dimed through the experience.

First time here, so we tried a bit. If everything I’m rating the following dishes we had. First, it’s good atmosphere, and the bar area looks well stocked to make you any drink.

So the food is only average at best. These other ppl giving them great ratings don’t know good bbq. Service was terrible, poor management. Look at my pics 8 o’clock on a Saturday big line barely anyone seated. This place won’t be open in a year. And if it still is it’s cause it’s the only place to go around the water park.

The brisket, turkey, corn, and ribs were extremely dry. The queso was so thick it broke the tortilla chips when we scooped it. The cashier was super friendly, and the view was picture perfect, and the drinks were really good. If you come here, make sure to eat before you come so you can sit by the patio and grab a drink.
