Los Amigos has been in this location in Cumberland Square for what feels like decades. I’ve been to all the places surrounding it – the Pizza Hut, Culver’s, Happy Joes…I mean, I remember when there was a Fazoli’s, Hollywood Video, and a Hardee’s around here. But I never tried Los Amigos in my formative years. I’ve had a mind to give it a try, and tonight was the night.

Being from San Antonio Texas, I was looking for some good Mexican food during my stay in Iowa. I was told this was the place, and they didn’t disappoint. The food was amazing, they way it should be. The only thing that would have made this better was if they had Horchata. But the place was really good. If you haven’t been here, you should give this place a try for some authentic Mexican flavors.

This is by far our favorite place to grab burritos or enchiladas in the QC! We drive from across the river. My husband loves their enchiladas and I am a big fan of the burrito grande. It is a fantastic place to get a quick bite! Service is superb.

I enjoy this mom and pop Mexican restaurant. Food is tasty and service is great, usually quick and with a smile. Prices are very reasonable. I usually spend $12 to $17 for meal, drink. Chips and salsa provided as soon as you are greeted. I like chimichangas and mix and match options, roughly $9 to $12.. there are some tvs showing sports but music plays on the speakers so can’t really say this is place to watch footballl or other sports.
