Food is unique, a little pricey, but excellent, staff is friendly and attentive. Decor is nicely done. Very modern and upbeat vibe. Music is s bit loud and lively so if you’re looking for a quiet, intimate setting, this won’t be it. Family friendly, good for celebrations and after work get togethers.

First, we are foodies. We travel all over in search of the perfect mix of atmosphere, service, flavor & drinks…. So, with that in mind, Los Amores De Julia offers an experience unparalleled to what’s offered here in the desert. Atmosphere was awesome! Nothing really like it here in the desert. Loved the bar they bring to the table and drinks were tasty with a great presentation they weren’t very strong, but they tasted amazing. Food was lacking salt and heat (temperature and spice), but was delivered with great presentation. Tacos were great (with salt, Crema and some tweaks like salsa, habanero pickled onions & avacado… all ordered separately and charged for accordingly), the best dish (we ordered several… 3 types of tacos, a Mexican pizza thing with meat like jerky, shrimp enchiladas, chorizo Mac and cheese, and 2 different appetizers) were the shrimp enchiladas, they were spiced well, shrimp cooked perfectly, a good balance of heat with cream to balance… they were the only dish served at an appropriate temperature. I wish they had a taco sampler, we had to order each type separately at $18-$20 each. I’d have happily paid $20-$25 for a plate where I could choose 4 different tacos instead of paying for 4 of each kind. The chorizo Mac n cheese was fantastic, no complaints here except it was nearly missed as it was listed as an add on and not as an appetizer… order this if you love savory foods! The strange Mexican pizza (can’t pronounce or spell the name of it in the menu), was awful, for a $20 dish we were disappointed and left it nearly untouched. The overall experience reminded me of dining in Rosarito. I’d go again for a lunch with the girls, but dinner prices were too high with the lacking flavors in several dishes and food not as hot as I’d feel safe with… overall the experience is unlike what’s offered locally and I will likely go again in hopes for a more satisfactory food service. This seems to be a family business as a little kiddo was helping out by bringing napkins and asking if we needed anything. Service was attentive and everyone was friendly, so no complaint there, if you don’t speak any Spanish, there may be a language barrier & I recommend previewing the menu to make ordering easier. The mini Mexican candies with the check was a nice touch. With a few tweaks to the menu, some salt and some attention to temperature, this would be a favorite! Atmosphere & drinks are what we’d expect in LA, a bit further with the food and this would be perfection!

Not your abuelita’s recipes. Los Amores de Julia is a fusion of traditional dishes with a modern twist and unique flavors. If you’re looking for a gem in the desert to celebrate a special event, then this is the place. They also have a brunch menu on the weekends. If you’re pulling a trailer or have an RV there’s plenty of parking and bonus the gas station nextdoor sells propane and there’s an RV resort across from the hotel and a Target across from restaurant.

Had a fair experience here, though the service was not great and NO CHIPS / SALSA. Wasn’t my favorite, but some of the family loved it. I enjoyed the chorizo mac and cheese as well as the carnitas. Beans and rice were great as well as the Jamaica! This place is pretty high priced, so I was expecting things to be a bit better, honestly. I still really recommend that you try it if you’re considering going. The atmosphere is great and lively, my kids did great. But if you got kids and they’re a bit sensitive to loud music, yelling, and flashing lights… you might reconsider dropping by.

This is not only a Good Restaurant. But a Fabulous Dining Experience. The moment you walk into the door. With the warm greetings. To the spectacular ambience of new age vs traditional mexican. The food was outstanding. The Margaritas were delicious. And the food was off the chain.. Can’t wait to travel back here again.

This place is amazing, great atmosphere & excellent service. Claudia the server and the Bartender Martha are great at what they do. Even the manager Monica came to our table and introduced herself to us to make sure our service was up to par with her expectations. My expectations were not only met, but exceeded.
