Tried this place for the first time shortly after it opened and the experience was just meh. Gave it a second chance months later and our Waitress didn’t know the flavor of the “house” Margarita and I found hair in our salsa. Nothing will make you puke faster than salsa hanging on hair from a tortilla chip. Haven’t been back.

While any Mexican place with plantains is appreciated, and the servers here were pleasant and attentive, there were too many disappointments to go back. Margaritas from a mix only, for starters. then my husband got a seafood dish that looked good, but the shrimp and muscles were overcooked and the scallops were past their prime. I got a combo platter, which was okay, but not worthy of its pricetag for a rural strip-mall restaurant. There aren’t many Mexican places out here, but we certainly won’t be revisiting this one any time soon.

Carne asada is very good. Haven’t had any “bad” food here–just don’t get the queso dip. Tastes like a couple slices of melted cheese. I would definitely stay away from mixed drinks at this restaurant–they always overdo it with the mixes and the sangria is not good. Other than that, my husband and I do like coming here because it’s convenient and fairly quick service.

Okay, this restaurant is a lot more authentic than your typical chain Mexican or TexMex places. Small, family owned and very friendly. The food is great and if you are like me and love extra spicy.. then ask for their house-made roasted habanero sauce! I wish they would sell it by the jar.. its such a pleasant burning pain that is full of that fruity habanero flavor!

A nice variety of Spanish and Mexican food. Great margaritas! Their Pollo Asada has great flavor. Enjoy their traditional Mexican food as well. Highly friendly staff!

In my opinion the portions are not in line with the prices they charge. I ordered nachos and they came already topped and arranged on the plate. It seemed more like a sample than an appetizer.

What a shame, I stopped in after work for a beer and a quick bite to eat and was very disappointed. Food was greasy, and you could tell it was just slopped on your plate then tossed in the microwave. Another fail for Eldersburg.

Make sure you bring a parka; you’ll need it to survive the subzero arctic air blowing out of the vents. Food was at best 5/10. Way overpriced for the quality.
