It was a good experience, however the grande burrito got cold quick because the plate wasn’t brought hot. No refills, but nice servers still. Boring atmosphere. Has a ways to go to catch up with the other local Los Charros.

One of our favorite spots for some good Mexican food. If you are in to hot salsa you have to order their salsa picosa. My partner always orders horchata and slurps it right down. The owners are also just really kind people and we never leave disappointed.

We loved the food here! My husband got the chicken fajitas which were great. I got the Pollo with cream onions and mushrooms (can’t remember what it’s called… ♀️) So good. We were just passing through Carthage and are SO GLAD we stopped here.

Delicious Latino food. Can cook off the menu and very good servings. Tex-Mex no problem, South America Oh Yea! Nice variety of beers. Very spacious seating and looks like a banquette offsetting the main dinning area. They have expanded to Macomb IL., I have not tried it there yet. Clean areas, friendly attentive staff. Come to the Carthage Square you can’t miss it, no signs on-the highway 136. Bring your appetite and a smile they will return the smile. Pics of Tecate with ……y’all chilled MUG, and a Giant Cocktail with shrimp, crabmeat, scallops, avocado poco de gallo. The End.

Nice Mexican restaurant on the plaza in downtown Carthage. I came here with my wife, sister and her boyfriend after an afternoon at a winery, needless to say we were hungry. We enjoyed tacos, chicken and shrimp chimichangas, and excellent horchata! The staff was nice and the order came out quickly. We couldn’t even finish all our food so they gave us some courtesy platters to go. I’ll have to come back next time I’m in the area.
