WOW what a hidden gem. Greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant. Promptly, our drink order was taken as we were handed menus. So many speciality items it was amazing. The waiter really took his time and explained several of the popular menu items. We had told him that this was our first time eating at this restaurant. The food was out piping hot and the flavor was amazing. They have their own homemade salsa that is awesome. And the portions are large enough for any hunger pangs you may be experiencing. We will be most certainly going back soon.

Friendly folks, clean, and small-town chill inside. I was recommended the Lucio Dinner from the traditional menu and it was excellent. The chille rellano was the star on that plate but those chicken flautas…goodness, 10/10. Rice and beans were good and hot. Chips and salsa are clearly made in house and delicious. Don’t walk out without the sopapilla!

This is the best Mexican place I’ve eaten at in a long time. They had an extremely extensive menu. I was with a few friends and when all the food arrived, I could have eaten anything that was on the table as it all looked delicious. My dish with fried catfish and shrimp was absolutely wonderful. I’m looking forward to going back.

My wife and myself wanted to go out to eat on a Friday afternoon and of course we have eaten at every restaurants in Norman which I might add the experience has been lacking in all areas. Not here to bash any eateries. I’m sure you know what I mean. Anyways I chose Los Compadres which we had never been without any grand desires. No big deal in other words. We were pleasantly impressed with the service and we thought that the food was great. The portions were just right for lunch and the price was affordable. This place is not a fancy place but it was all I expected from a traditional Mexican restaurant. As I said this was my first time but not my last. Maybe my first choice.

Lunch specials are the way to go here. I got the chicken enchiladas plate and it was super delicious. They bring chips with salsa and queso before the plate comes out. The salsa is spicy and full of flavor. The queso was excellent also. If you want to add more spice to your plate add some salsa to your dish. The special also comes with a sopapilla for dessert. Service was spot on and tables were nice and clean. Love the food here. ❤️

The food was good with the exception of my chicken for my chicken fajitas, they were over cooked and very hard so I was not able to eat the chicken, I didn’t get any tortillas, my husband was able to share his food with me and that was good. I’ll go back but not for anthing with chicken now I’m leery to try anything with steak meat. Their beef enchiladas were really good.
