First off! Careful walking in lol there’s a steep decline at the entrance (that’s why I shouldn’t have ignored the caution sign on the door). Secondly the food here is amazing I thoroughly enjoyed every bite . I’ll definitely be coming back for more .

The food here is amazing. I’ve eaten here and ordered for takeout several times. Every machete, huarache, and gordita I’ve had here was delicious. If you’re on the fence about this place, go!

The food is delicious The horchata is Amazing! It’s some of the best horchata I’ve ever tried. I’m very picky about horchata. This is the only place I’m getting my horchata from now

Los Machetes Quesadilla Factory is a local family-owned restaurant. It’s nestled in north Edinburg. It’s modest with a quaint, lively atmosphere.

Love their machetes! They’re a good size and very filling. I always share one with my husband, half tinga de res and half tinga de pollo. The empanadas are also very tasty and well filled. The pico de gallo is one of a kind and to die for!

Update: what a great place to eat lunch. We again enjoyed our meals. Fantastic food and service! I took a picture of the menus this time. We also tried some dessert, fried plantains. This was the first time eating plantains as a dessert. It was very good; however, if you don’t like mushy texture, I would not recommend it. If you are ever in the area stop by this place to get some great food! I tried a Gordita with pumpkin flowers. Their sauces have a great flavor, not too spicy. Their pico has chucks of avocado, cucumber and more. The big machete taco comes in different combinations and was shared with three people and a toddler. My daughter and I just ordered one extra item, Gordita and a sope.

I wasn’t very pleased with the taste of their chicharrón prensado from here, it was bad quality pork and the seasoning of it tasted more like Asado de puerco, it was a very disappointing flavor.

Food is ok. First time went and had to try and I wasn’t so amused only amused on size of the quesadilla. As far as flavor well not that bad but it can be a little more with taste on your options. The chilie sauces they give you are really good. The service is good too. Prices are a bit steep but, if you never tried then give it a try and see if you like it. As for me well was good but nit the taste I’m looking for.

Died and went to the happiest place I’ve ever been. I was beyond full but couldn’t stop eating and doing my happy food dance was threatening to make me lose all the deliciousness we consumed, but I kept eating and kept happy dancing. We ordered the Azteca quesadilla and it was great. Very fresh. We demolished that. Then my dad ordered a huarache and I got myself a little gordita. Both of those were also AMAZING. Dad says it’s the most authentic Mexican food he’s had in the 20+ years we’ve lived in the valley. We were already planning what to get on our next visit before we were even done eating our second dishes.
