We have eaten there several times and have been pleased. Today was an entirely different experience. First they were out of lemons for my water but they offered me limes which was OK. The salsa was extremely bland. My husband ordered his usual steak fajitas. Normally the steak is so tender that you can cut it with a fork this was not the case tonight. The meat was tough. Also My meal was a shrimp dish that is cooked with onions and peppers and a tomato broth. It was less than ideal. Almost no flavor at all. And then to top it off they charged us extra for more tortillas for my husband’s fajitas. It will be a while before we try this restaurant again

My chips, salsa, cheese dip was so good I ended up filling up on it all before I got my meal. Lol This place makes the best cheese dip. The meal I got was pretty good too. My waitress looked after me pretty good. Of all the Mexican places we have i think it’s the best place in town to eat mexican. But i think the lunch menu is tad too expensive.

It the best Mexican Restaurant in town and I have a great time every time I go here! I rarely try anything different here because the quesadillas are so amazing. Haven’t had a single complaint and really enjoy it and the people that work there. Super friendly place with great service.

First time i have eaten from here, and it is by far the best mexican restaurant i have ever eaten at. Amazing food, wonderful service, and great prices, both plates cost $9.99 and drinks were under $2.00, both of us ate till we couldnt eat any more, and i still have half a plate left. This is the exact same Los Tovares that used to be on Jackson, simply moved to a new location. I don’t know why they changed the name. They could have kept the same menu, etc. Plus, Los Tovares was amazing. It’s clearly run by the same guys. I don’t understand why they changed the name. Regardless, even though it’s a new location, the same great staff here are still serving the same amazing dishes. Their steak and taco meat are seasoned nicely. Generous portions, including sour cream and guacamole, unlike Antigua’s. The salsa and guacamole taste fresh and are seasoned nicely. The tortilla of my quesadilla was grilled to perfection. Need I say more? Great service, delicious food, reasonable prices. Best Mexican restaurant in town. El Compadre is a close 2nd.
