They offer tasty pastry right inside their entry, offering it all from breakfast to dinner and more. We stopped for a snack and got a great treat!

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Connecticut. The salsa that comes with the chips is amazing.

Los Portales has the best Mexican food in all of Fairfield County. The waitstaff is pretty friendly too. The only bad thing about Los Portales is that I can’t find a legible menu online anywhere, so I uploaded one here. As for the food, not only is there a wide variety of dishes but the dishes are delicious and authentic. The last time I ate in their restaurant was pre-COVID, but I still get takeout. Every dish that I had of theirs was worth trying, but their gorditas are especially worth trying. This is a steak gordita which they load with toppings. The gorditas only come with pork, chicharron, or cheese. If you want chicken, steak, etc. it costs extra.

If you are looking for a quick bite this is the place for you. Good food and great service. I went in on a Tuesday night and they had a live band. It was a real treat. Their mango margarita was perfect (I got the non spicy version) !!! Must try.

Alright, being honest… the food was great and so was the mariachi, but the band was late and our server was not great. We had to repeat orders to her and she forgot to bring us our leftovers, which was just rice and beans, so no biggie. However, those things are why I can’t give 5 stars.

The food is great but the waitress need more training about costumer service. They never check on you, you need to asked for you own drink in the counter. You even have to get up and ask for you own check. They can do better!!

Decent little restaurant. The service was terrible though. Took them a long time to order my food, when I ordered they messed my owner wrong. Told them to remake it and when checking out they attempted to charge me for the messed up order as well. There are better option for Mexican cuisine around. I personally won’t be back.
