I measure a Mexican restaurant’s authenticity by whether they have tongue tacos. If so, that means they have a significant Hispanic clientele (at least in the Midwest). I never expected tongue meat by the looks of this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. And they were good. Not amazing, but good.

4 people. 3 adults, 2 of whom were seniors and a teenager. One meal served cold. One meal not served with rest of meals and took longer, nothing was said by waitress. Forgot a side order as well. Bill was $80. RIP OFF. NOT WORTH IT. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I really do enjoy this place. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is that it’s not consistent. One day salsa is perfect and not spicy, then 2 other times it is. The Alan’s chicken 1 time wasn’t spicy and the 2nd time it was. I wonder if time of day matters. Very delicious place to go in and eat or take home and eat. Service was great. Super love the colorful chairs inside.

Stopped on our way to Starved Rock State Park. Glad we stopped! Delightful decorations, nice staff and excellent food. I had the lunch Chimichanga.

Got a to-go order. Got home and discovered food missing and we had to drive back to get the rest. What we had was just ok and barely warm. This was our first time eating there and I doubt we’ll give it a second chance. When you spend $70 on dinner, you expect it to all be there and be good. Very disappointed.

Waitress wrote down that I wanted flower shells for my taco’s, the food department messed the order up and gave me soft corn shell’s instead. This is the second time order was not correct, the first time I did not complain. Will not visit the establishment again.
