New ownership put a fresh coat of paint on this beauty. Boasting a massive patio, multiple rooms and a decently sized dining area and bar. Live Oak has a ton of things working in its favor. Gone are the inattentive staff that would trudge up to you and take your order, the new staff is extremely attentive and efficient. Beers are cheap, food is great and now they have mixed cocktails. What’s not to love?

A group of my former work group met for a reunion lunch. There were 6 of us and we straggled in as we all came in separate vehicles. No problem for our waitress. She immediately greeted the first two us to arrive and bought our drinks and described the daily specials…King Ranch Chicken or 1/2 Rack of Ribs. She continued to notice as new members of our group arrived and brought their drinks. We snacked on chips and queso waiting for all to arrive. She was very attentive and when we were ready, she took our order and getting separate checks was not an issue. Two had the signature cheeseburger, two had ribs, one had King Ranch Chicken and I had the grilled chicken southwest salad. Every entree was great. The hamburger and especially the onion rings are something to write home about…even better just take home. No issue for us to linger and remember old times. Definitely will go again.

Wonderful atmosphere and great food and service. Fun Fridays with the Tighten Up Band (from Caps) who play Top 40 dance music from all decades (7-11pm). Plenty of parking and no cover charge (so tip the band). Play area for the kids. Mix of regular tables and picnic tables. Large deck under beautiful oak trees. Lots of outdoor dining.

Was pleasantly surprised by this place. Everything was delicious! Huge portions. Not overly priced at all. The atmosphere was great, outside had a live band and inside was relaxed, not over crowded, and family friendly. The kids menu had multiple choices and was pretty cheap.

I love the vibe here. Drink was delicious. I got a Georgia Peach, Bacon cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. No pic because I devoured it when it came. Burger had good flavor, was cooked perfectly and was still hot when I got it.

OK my 1st time at live oak at heard about it crawfish was OK seasoning was all through the crawfish so that’s a plus in my book we were going for live music but music did not play that night so will come back again tell you about it.. but the hurricanes on the rocks were very good and waitress was awesome!!!
